  1. I've got the same problem Hoopenfaust. CM on acid! It's not your machine, it's the high res grass and sky graphics. I'm running a G4 450 with 199 megs ram and I had the same problem. My solution was to get rid of the offending graphics file. You'll notice that when the MACMOD manager writes the file to your Data Folder it will make a copy of the old file and rename it, just find the duplicate files, rename them and trash the newer files. You're back to where you were. Hope that helps.
  2. Downloaded fine on my machine but decompressed into some unreadable Microsoft Word doc. But then again, I'm on a Mac.
  3. K, I'll give this a try. See if I can get this UBB code working. [This message has been edited by freelancal (edited 02-17-2001).]
  4. I got to bill one of my clients for an hour of my time, setting up a "Disney style map", setting up hills, rivers, towns for a flow chart and taking a screen shot. Paid for the game - Hey, you can't beat that.
  5. Howdy Jaldaen, Here's a link to CMVision page. You can download the QT film PeterNZ and I put together using Snapz Pro. It was shot from the game and edited using QuickTime. http://www.panzershark.com/cvision/
  6. My whole reading list has shifted. Panzer Battles A Generals Life Is Paris Burning A Bridge To Far Forgotten Soldier Bouncing the Rhine A Time for Trumpets Citizen Soldier A Band of Brothers Pegasus Bridge D-Day The Last Battle Combat WWII Europe OUCH! My Brain Hurts!!
  7. For all you Hogans Heroes Fans. 'Hogan's Heroes' star Werner Klemperer dead at 80 NEW YORK -- Werner Klemperer, a refugee from Nazi Germany who played the bumbling German prison-camp commandant Col. Klink on the TV series, "Hogan's Heroes," has died. He was 80. Klemperer died of cancer Wednesday at his home in New York, said his publicist, Bernie Ilson. Klemperer fled Germany in the 1930s with his father, Otto, a distinguished conductor. He eventually won two Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Klink on the 1960s sitcom about Allied prisoners of war during World War II. We will miss you.
  8. Power Mac G4 w/192 RAM - OOUUCCHH!! Demo worked great on my old Mac but I wanted something peppier for the CD. To Read: "A Bridge To Far" Cornelius Ryan "Panzer Battles" von Mellenthin "The Forgotten Soldier" Guy Sajer "A Generals Life" Bradely To Wear: Royal Dutch Artillary Red Barret while I'm playing the Allies Grey Geburgsjager Bergmütz Cap with Edelwise insignia while playing the Axis
  9. I agree, M. Bates. It seems to me that every time I play a meeting engagement as the Allies, I am out gunned and out numbered. I've been challenged several times in the ladder system and nobody wants to play the Allies. The only way I've been able to win as the Allies is through extreme luck. As I see it, the only fair way to play it is to give the Allies at least a +25% advantage.
  10. K, Peter, Ever thought of buying a Mac? Ouch! They are getting cheaper and better. When are you gonna update your webcam? You're never there! E-mail me when you're back up and running.
  11. OK, I'll admit it, I day dream CM. While walking my dog Max late at night, my mind seems to wonder back to the last game I played and how I could have played it better. I resolve hull down problems, what my next turn move should be, etc. Max seems to benefit since I get lost on my walks and usually have to double back to get back home. Total immersion!
  12. Anyone else get the idea that Allo, Allo is based on Monsieur and Madame Gondree's Cafe from the Pegasus Bridge scenerio?
  13. One more in Texas with out. I'm in Dallas and I preordered back March. Mail man must be a mean-assed hombre with no scruples. He's probably playing my game now.
  14. Ted, If you travel south to Nüremburg, you can see the Palace of Justice (where the war crimes trials were held), Soldiers Field (where Hitler had his really big rallies). Also Birtchesgarten has a cool network of underground bunkers set up for the "Last Defense" under the General Patton Hotel and the Eagles Nest, Hitler's Alpine Retreat. Have fun on your trip!
  15. Don't worry Lt.Bull, we'll respect your cease fire order while you're away....NOT! From all us happy guys on hill 209, the beer swilling Panther Weil group and of course those lucky fellows in Unit Rosefeld Pillbox 75, we wish you a most wonderful trip. Hpt Hauser says - "Das Schpitzen Schparken unt Krachen machen ist Stricktly Verboten!" Lt. Wittenburg reminds you "Das Sightseeren mit der Fingeren must keepen der Handen in der Pocketten!" And don't forget to wear your shower cap! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean, Sport! Over and Out!
