  1. Yeah, you are right Fionn. I red all the German reports, and I'm really hooked. In fact on the turn 19 when you lost that Panther I felt like jumping in and helping out, it felt so real. I wonder if there will be an option to play with more than 2 people. When is the Beta demo coming out ? I would love to try it. Peter
  2. The best WW2 German armor site I have ever seen was www.panzerlehr.com, unfortunately that site is done for a while now. Peter PS: Anyone knows if will ever come back ?
  3. Fionn, of course I believe it, I never questioned the action of CM. It was really just a general humor comment, guess I didn't express it correctly Peter
  4. I don't think Sherman's 76mm gun was so much better than 75mm. It was better but not that much, personnal opinion of course. Though the gun was better against Mark IV, it still lacked against , Panther or Tiger for long range engagements... Peter
  5. Gee, how much can P-15 miss nice looking Panther with dark camouflage on the white snow I learned something today, watch out for those damn yankee fliers. It seems the primary "worry" for my Armor cats... Peter
  6. Good God Fionn, I'm starting to feel your pain Ouch ! It hurts to see Panther put out of action like that ! I'm with you, keep fighting, I wish I could KG von Fisla could help but unfortunately I'm stuck fighting around St. Vith ! Keep fighting ! Peter
  7. Thanks Pat, I went to TNG to check out the turn 18 and I found out it ain't there, glad that Battlefront has all the reports at home Peter
  8. Yeah Fionn, there is nothing like fighting on the Eastern Front Peter PS: If I had the chance I would get the Eastern Front version first, just like I did with TOP2 and then PITS
  9. The best WW2 movie (not documentary) I have ever seen is "Stalingrad", I got the DVD. Who didn't see it yet go rent it you will not be dissapointed. Peter
  10. I'm sorry if this was answered before. Will I be able to collect all the replays from all the turns and play them all together as one movie ? Thanks... Peter
  11. I was wondering when is public beta of CM coming out ? I would like to check it out Peter PS: If the demo is too big, say 100MB I wouldn't mind paying for the CD as well
  12. Hi Fionn, Nice site !...I already created bookmark for it I have never heard "Lili Marlene" song before..do you have a mp3 version of it by any chance ? Peter PS: I'm going to put up a site as well dedicated to CC1 game and The Ardennes Offensive by SSG, currently developing editor for it...
  13. Hey Marko, if you want a good AI then you should play The Ardennes Offensive by SSG (Don't tell me it doesn't). The best I have ever seen in computer wargames. I would also say that Close Combat 2 had pretty good AI, of course nowhere near of the Ardennes Offensive by SSG. Peter
  14. The best manual I have seen in wargaming /tank smulation gaming industry was from Microprose Across the Rhine tank/strategy simulation. The game wasn't that great, but the manuals were really top class. I still keep them today. First manual was gameplay manual, the second one was historical manual with a lot of info on battles that were fought on Western Front from 1944 to 1945, this include battle reports, OOBs. There was also a section about Allied and German armor, really good readings. I would like to see a good manual too Peter
  15. I have been following CM developemnt since the days of AH beeing involved. I'm looking forward to it, I hope everything will turn out great. I like the idea of campaigns discussed in this thread and I support it. I wouldn't mind investing some time in creating those campaigns... Peter
