  4. Thanks Ben for the info, looks like 3 men squad is good enough for me ! Thanks again... Peter
  5. If this was already answered somewhere before I apologize. I was wondering, as I will have some number of squads on the battlefield and they will take casualties as the battle goes , is there any easy way to tell how many men a squad lost, without say clicking on the squad ? I mean some sort of visual symbol could maybe roughly tell ? Is there currently anything similar to this ? Thanks... Peter
  6. Yeah I red it, it's well done. Woow some new cools shots, I especially like the one with the editor ! I can't wait for the public beta test !!! Peter
  7. I'm going to have some fun in Mexico ! I figured hey if it's the end of the world might as well have some fun before it's over Some booze, sun and women, yeah that should do it ! Peter PS: My trip starts on Dec. 30 1999 to January 6th 2000....should be fun
  8. I don't believe in GOD but OH MY GOD !!! Snow flakes ?!!!! This is unbelievable !!! Small question: Will you guys add a bit of snow on to the vehicles ? Also shouldn't the paint on the vehicles also be a bit white, I mean at least in some areas... Though it's really beautifull ! Peter
  9. I was lurking too for a very long time, hell since this wargame was called Computer Squad Leader. Just rencently about a month or so ago, I joined in and pre-ordered... Peter
  10. Well I'm from Canada as well, and I preordered it about 2 weeks ago. The game will be delivered through mail/express...which is fine by me, the game won't be sold through stores if that's what you are asking. Excuse me, but why do you have to have your user name all in upper case... Peter
  11. I'm living in Toronto, Canada...being here for 9 years now, originally from Czechoslovakia... Peter
  12. The best wargames I have ever played so far and can't live without : The Ardennes Offensive (SSG) Close Combat 1 (Atomic) Tigers on the Prowl 2 (HPS) Panthers i nthe Shadows (HPS) 101st Airborne in Normandy (Sharpnel Games) These are all PC games...I used to have ATARI 800XL, STE but never came across any wargames at that time... Peter
  13. When I get a chance I play these games: Close Combat (the first in the series) HPS Games (TOP2, PITS) The Ardennes Offensive by SSG 101st Airborne in Normandy Jagged Alliance 2 System Shock 2 F-15 / Falcon 4 Peter
  14. Fionn, did you loose my by any chance ? If yes then: Peter Fisla Germany
  15. Hell yes, if you could guys send a alpha version of the manual as pdf for those who pre-ordered that would be great ! I know though I'm dreaming here... Peter PS: I would like reading manual before I get the game...actually it would be an advantage
  16. The best Manual (WW2 wargames/strategy field) I have ever seen came with game "Across the Rhine" by Microprose. The game was average but the manuals were excellent. The first manual was a game play manual, good quality paper /ink/ etc... The second was a Historical WW2 manual/book simply excellent. There was a lot of info on armored warfare, Allied/Axis armor. There was a lot of info on every big battle on the Western Front. This included OOB, small map with unit movments as well as historical documentation and some soldier short reports...oh and on top of that it also had 1 hour of WW2 historical movies (history channel perhaps ?) I was overjoyed when I got it... I hope that CM will have some good manual too (Though I understand Battlefront ain't as big as Microprose) Peter
  17. U just installed last night Win2000 RC2 Build 2128. When CM Demo comes out I will let you know how things go...I hope it will work, it should anyway since Win2000 supports Directx 7, but you never know with MS Peter
  18. Well I guess it was just a question of time how much longer I would resist I'm kind of dissapointed that I can't (living in Canada) get a WW2 poster with my copy of CM, but I can live with that. I have been following CM since the day of announcement of CSQ...the day when AH was around. I must say I'm looking forward playing CM... Peter
  19. I don't know about you guys, but I live in a big city Toronto, Canada and people drive crazy here, I don't mind speed (ok let me correct that, I like speed) but there are so many people who just don't know Jack about driving, holding a steering week, driving bad cars (no muffler, license plate, paint, no lights)...and every year it's getting worse. I wish I could drive a Panther, I think that would solve my problems Anyone ever wanted to do the same thing ? ...I found a way out, I'm looking for a job in States early next year. Peter
  20. Alright !!! now excuse me I gotta go clean up my Tiger ...Hell come to think of it I might as well change the oil Peter
  21. Woooow, that's one hell of a sexy Tiger !!! Now give me PLEASE the public demo !!! I can't wait... Question: Will the 88mm gun has its own shell firing sound ? Thanks... Peter
  22. AARs are great, Fionn & Martin. I nejoy reading them, keep up the good work...I want to see the end of the battle one day !. After you guys are finished put them all together as an online-book so I can read it all at once... Peter
  23. Hang in there, it should be out one few weeks...I want it too... Peter
  24. E. Rommel: "The one that tries to defend everything, defends nothing." Peter
  25. Alright, I can code C/C++, Win32Api, MFC (preferred). I'm currently busy on The Ardennes Offensive Scenario Editor, and I also plan to work on the TAO game itself,(remove copy protection and allow game to run on NT 4 / Win2000) but after that I'm willing to help on writing some utilities if necessary. Though if some opinion/help is needed right away for some coding etc I'm there... Peter PS: Game like this deserves support
