  1. I like to have a printed manual and don't mind printing the whole thing. Problem is that by copying to a word processor you lose all the images and there's no way to copy them from a pdf to the word processor. It would be really nice to have a printer friendly manual with a game that doesn't come with a printed manual.
  2. Please send me your operation, and your others as well. Thank you. rich12545@myway.com
  3. I'd like to print out a copy of the manual but with the brown border and tan background it looks like it'll use a whole color cartridge every ten pages. Is there a copy anywhere that is more printer friendly?
  4. Regardless. I SAW it. There was only one copy but it was there.
  5. I was at an electronic software store in Moscow, ID a couple weeks ago and saw CMAK on the shelf for $49.95. But it came in a plastic case so I guess it was worth the extra money. LOL.
  6. Ah, I see the problem. I had only five files total. Tomorrow I'll get them all. I don't know what McMMM is but I plan a separate install and assume that will work. Thanks again.
  7. Speaking of mods, I downloaded your pto from cmmos and installed it. Five small files. Didn't do anything. I assume I didn't get the right files or whatever. Can you please write the names of all files necessary to use the pto? Thanks very much.
  8. I just purchased a couple of days ago. The only misgiving I had in changing from cmbo to cmak was giving up the west front in Europe. Thank you for bringing it back. Now all that's needed is the PTO available.
  9. Thanks to all three of you. The download is really too large and won't fit on a cd for backup so I'll order the disk soon. Besides, I'd really like to have the guide. And hi to you junk. I'm looking forward to trying out your mods.
  10. After playing cmbo for years I'm finally going to bite the bullet and get cmak and I'm trying to decide between the disk and download version. I really dislike disk copy protection so I'd like to ask a few questions. Since there is a download version, does the disk even have copy protection? How big is the download? If I get the download, how do I get the 32 page guide that comes with the disk? If I get the disk and it has copy protection, is there a reliable nocd available (and I see nothing wrong with using a nocd for a product I buy)? I'm going to make the purchase soon and thank anyone in advance who can help me with this.
  11. Junk, I went over there and it looks like it's not designed for playing against the ai. Thanks very much for checking. Pzman, I tried the demo and found no problems. But for large maps there would be. Even in cmbo it gets a little choppy for large maps with a lot of graphics. When I had only 16 meg the larger maps were almost unplayable.
  12. Thanks very much. Now all I need is the variable ending mod. And, junk, I'd be surprised if you're older than me.
  13. Well, I might. However, I'll have to wait for a new computer. I have a laptop with only a 32meg video and that won't be enough for the large cmak scenarios just like my previous 16meg wasn't enough for the large cmbo ones even though theoretically it should have been. I'm starting to get more into cm instead of spwaw. I know MikeT did a whole Pacific mod for cmbo but I can't find it. 1. Naw. I'd like to see the base as maybe a line or small block under the unit. Just enough so I know where they are in the forest but not so big it distracts. 2. It's not cmmos. I don't use it. I think they might be alternates to mods I've installed. If so I'd like to see which is the best and delete the rest. If not I'll leave them all alone. 3. I've always thought a random ending maybe 2-3 turns either way of the actual one adds to the game.
  14. 1. Too bad. I'd like to see a much smaller base. 2. Don't know. They look kind of similar. Do bmps with only numbers show up in the game or can you add stuff to the bmp name and still have them show up? 3. ? Hello Junk. Hey, I looked at your Pacific page. Really great.
  15. Is there a way to change the graphic for unit bases? In my CM bmp folder there are a lot of duplicate files for many bmps with suffixes sometimes numbers or sometimes referring to a country. Are these all just alternates or what. Also, does anyone know where to get badco's random endgame mod. Seems his link is dead. Thanks very much.
  16. Aaaaaah, grognard stuff. Heh heh. Well, maybe someday. In the meantime cmbo will be just fine.
  17. Ok, I tried Afrika Corps. Didn't see a whole lot of difference. Maybe the graphics were a bit more detailed and a couple of nice options but that's about it, unless I'm missing something.
  18. To me the most important change is wego instead of igougo. I like both. But I remember playing Flight Commander 2 several years ago and thinking, wow if only they had this with ww2 ground forces. And then they did. I was one of the first to pre-order. I may download the demo and give it a try. But they're working on cm2 (unless that's been cancelled) and that promises to be really good.
  19. Huge difference. The only way they're the same is the level. I don't think I'm going to get the other cm games. Hundreds of scens on cmbo and I'm not so interested in the other theaters. Even with spwaw I typically play west front and pacific. I took cmmos off after all and just added my files to the bmp and wav folders. You can use only one at a time and I already had the best mods available. I'll take a look at adamo's posts. Should prove interesting. CM would take some getting used to after spwaw.
  20. OK, I think I understand it now. Looks like cmmos is the way to go and I'll switch to that. Thanks very much for your help.
  21. Ah, I'm beginning to understand. Actually I have bmps and wavs that I downloaded years ago from cmhq. Whenever I fire up cm I put them in the folders and overwrite. Why should I keep originals if the new ones are better? So you're saying I can't just put the cmmos bmps in the folder without the exe file? And will cmmos allow me to switch between the original, desert, and pacific easily without putting each in a separate cm folder? Btw, you're in Arizona? Where bouts?
  22. Naw, I haven't given up on SPWAW. Just getting back to playing CM also. Looks like you're working on some nice mods. Here's what I don't understand. what is the cmmos.exe? Does it include all the new bmp and wav stuff. If so, what does the rulesets include?
  23. Well, I'm getting back into playing cmbo after a layoff and thought I'd check out the forum. Haven't been here for a while. Came across this cmmos mod and was wondering what it is. I downloaded it along with the rulesets (this looks like bmp but no sound replacements). Before doing an exe I thought I'd check here first to see what it is. Also, MikeT used to have a desert, east front, and pacific mod plus one or two others. Are they still around? Thanks for any help.
  24. I had some time this morning to work on it. The problem is definitely the new nvidia/dell driver. I don't know what they did to screw everything up but the new one is twice as large as the old, about 6 meg difference. Anyway, I'm going to leave the old one in for now to be able to continue to play two of my favorite games.
  25. That's an interesting program. I set the refresh rate for my resolution to 60 and removed all other resolutions from the list. Didn't solve the problem. The game worked fine with my previous driver so I'm going to download it and install and will see how it works. I assume the game looked for all refresh rates with that driver. If it doesn't then I have to assume there is a conflict with the new dx9b. If it does then the problem is with the new nvidia driver. I'll then have to decide if I want to leave the old one in although as a rule I prefer to run all updated drivers. I have to get the drivers from Dell since the nvidia ones don't work. Btw, I'm having the same problem with another game, Myth II. I'll be able to do this in a couple of days and will post the results. In the meantime thanks for your help.
