I think David is right. I saw PzFaust being fired from the back or any angle of the Squads. The turning ratio seems an abstraction of 8 to 12 men repositioning... Ariel

quote:
Originally posted by elementalwarre: 3. game features - when creating a scenario, vary unit value with loadout, morale, fatigue, and skill bonuses, not just experience. to me, a regular squad with max loadout is significantly different. ditto a captain with combat, morale, and command bonuses. vs no point variation even a very crude variation would better reflect the unit's value, ie just scale down the same for weary or exhausted and ignore the others as transient

This is already in the game. You can change all that parameters when makes a scenario. Ariel

quote:
Originally posted by Goofy: Cuchulainn said..Some of the 1982 Falkands/Malvinas War assaults would also be possible. Boy, does this give me ideas! It could be done with what we already have, just have to shuffle things around a bit, hmmmm. Need to go look at the avaliable equipment again.

As a side note, the past week I was editing some video images on Malvinas war and I saw a British Para with a beautiful looking BREN!!!! They used the Bren in Malvinas. What a good design. Was Czec? Ariel -

quote:
Originally posted by Mirage2k: The MG42 heavy MG is manned by a team of six and carried more ammunition than its "light" counterpart. While I haven't tried it, I think you might be able to force a MG42 HMG unit to run if you use the platoon-move command. I think someone in another thread said that, but I could be mistaken. -Andrew

Yes, you are mistaken. When you make a platoon-move command, every unit involved moves at his own max. I'm also curious about why the LMG team can't run, if them can run when attached to Squads. Ariel

Strategy on "Small Gain"?
argie replied to RedWolfTrevize's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
SPOILER - - - - - I used the opposite tactic... As the Engineers could easily close assault a Tank (much more a HT), I move all I can up to the forest and ambushed the vehicles in the curves in the woods. Then I catch all the German infantry from behind... Is really funny to do... Oh, I sent my M8 to the left flank as soon he appears to kill all the stuff in that side... All this against the AI, of course Ariel [This message has been edited by argie (edited 08-15-2000).] -

Linked Scenarios and Opeations: CAMPAIGNS
argie replied to Rarg's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Elijah, exactly what you said is in which I was thinking as a learning tool (and a lot of fun) for CMMC. Not embedded in the game, but as a kind of mini CMMC, in which the new people learns procedures and rules for CMMC, and plays quick and fun games with a more limited scope... Ariel -

Hey, Zamo, do you like the TAM? Is a very good light tank. He beated all the others in Ecuador in a field test (94 out of 100 points. Next one ~70 points). I love those AFV. And the IFV version is good also (is almost a Marder ). Ariel

I hope we were 50 But so far, I think your RPG concept is a great introductory to CMMC. You could test rules and make quick games to learn how to use this. I hope some kind of Academy, with a sort of light CMMC version could be done to prepare people to far more ambitious CMMC than the one we are developing now Your RPG system is a great learning tool for people interested in the CMMC.
