  1. I saw a reference to Card Decks in another thread. I had been wondering about this. From that reference it seems that each player has their own seperate deck? For the computer game...is a deck initially shuffled, then drawn top down only, without being resuffled during a game? Once again, I take it the manual will answer most of my questions, but until it gets here, I guess I'll just have to pester whoever I can get to answer
  2. Please clarify. 1. Assuming that the wingman is promoted during the battle with turns left. He assumes the leader position, but does not bring over any purchased abilities during the current combat? 2. After battle, during Manage Pilots, would he retain abilities inherent to both (such as Natural Pilot), or does he have to start from scratch and purchase everything? 3. Which brings up another question In the full version, is there a way to add a Wingman to any single Leader? (Exception being a Campagin, or not?) ... I've ordered the game, so I'll get to see how the manual answers some of my questions. From some of the posts, I can already see there are distinct differences in playing the full version.
  3. Got ya. Thanks for the info. I really like this game. Y'all did good Now if I can just figure out how to explain to the old Battleaxe that I need a few bucks
  4. When playing 'Local Game', how do you rest pilots? It looks like only Leaders receive Fatigue? I see there is a skill to reduce fatigue.
  5. Success Seems to work just fine now.
  6. I have a screen shot of a eDIF error box if anyone is interested in it. It's 52k in jpeg format. I received it when trying to get a Campaign game to start. I seem to have no problem creating one, just can't get the beggar to run
  7. I don't get the directplay error, but when I first tried to create a campaign, I received some type of window with a lot of 'code' in it, in my IE web browser window. Could IE be the problem? Deal is, I use Firefox. I can get to the lobby just fine with Firefox. I tried using IE to get to the lobby and then creating a campaign game and this worked. But when I try to play the game, I just get the blue background without any graphics or text. Just before the blank screen, I receive an info box containing only my user name and no other info under the headings in the 'box'... Oh yeah...WinXP with SP2 and current updates applied. DirectX 9c.
  8. RE: Group 3 Section 1 Ok...Finished sending out all turns to Deadly88 Brent Pollock Panther Commander PittPanther31 Waiting on first turn from MrSpkr...he did let our section know there could be lags...no problem.
  9. I'm at work, so I can't look...but I think you need to be looking in one of the parameter settings screens...not the map maker section where you do the Setup Zones...the one where you tell it wheather it's a Meeting, Defense, etc.????
  10. What kind of name do you have if it shows up in both CMBO and CMBB? Or is it German or Polish? BFC, I want my name into CMAK too!!! </font>
  11. Yep...for CMBO some of us submitted our last names...from time to time they show up in all three versions. To answer one of your questions, mine usually dies early on
  12. Received in Bakersfield, CA (sort of the central part)...so it's been received by people all up and down the west coast.
  13. If you're talking about 'placing' units in positions that you want them (and not allowing the player/AI to 'place' them during setup then, just select the unit(s), right click, and choose setup lock (or something about "lock")...
  14. Heads up Group 7... I just got home, and I see files to process...they'll be on their way this evening.
  15. I'll play in the finals, if eligable... Strider[at]bak.rr.com
  16. I do beleive that Section II - 1 has all games complete, as of last night. Even the couple of games I won, I still got my teeth kicked in I very much enjoyed playing these guys. Thanks to all of you.
  17. Virus: Shouldn't be me...I don't keep an address book, just in case of things like that. I just create a folder under my inbox and store one or more email messages, then use 'reply' or when the need arises, I manually type in the address...it ain't that difficult And I'm running an updated anti-virus program and IE6. Of couse nothing is fool-proof...and not keeping an address book won't prevent other types of viruses, but it's one more item to help out, and if I do get infected, at least the type using an address book should die on my system. Also, shutting off the 'preview' pane helps. Rumor (or fact) claims that there are now viruses that activate is simply previewed.
  18. Tourney II, Section 1 I've lost track of who I did and didn't tell...going on vacation this Friday (Jun 28)...will be back Sat evening (July 6)...may not get to process any games Thurs (Jun 27 or Sat July 6)...then I'll be back on track. Gene
  19. Uhhh...Uber General, There ain't nothing "new" in my email from you...Just got home from work. I processed my setup turn and sent it back, last night.
  20. Vader, East side also...mobile home park at Eucalyptus and Fairfax...the old folks section Hmmm...not sure which of us is in the rougher section of town
  21. Well, well...I'm not the only one "stuck" in Bakersfield
  22. "2) Who wants to chance a CMBO tourney while we wait for the new game? If enough are interested I will try to make it happen." I'll accept...even if CMBB "appears", it's no reason to stop any game that's still in progress
  23. It doesn't "look" like there is enough area to "play" on North Africa. For the British (and French, somewhat), and Germany/Italy...quite a few assets and resources were expended here. Also, the U.S. and British had to deal with the Pacific. In what way are these areas taken into account?
