  1. Well, apparantly there is a russian manual for using and firing the panzerschreck and panzerfaust so I would imagine that there was some use of it occationally. As for seeing a few germans in the soviet infantry, I'd say it's not unheard of finding russians with german uniforms and equipment during world war 2. It'd still be identified as an enemy so I'd just chalk it up to scavenged equipment.
  2. All this because I assumed the SU-152 was based on the T-34 chassis I knew the SU-76 was based on the T-70 already Like I said, it was a silly assumption on my part.
  3. Yup. Like I said, I just never took a closer look and just went on the assumption based on the SU-85 and SU-122. It's my own fault since I already knew about the SU-76i (which is based on a Pz III/IV and not a T-34, so I should have known that SU was just the assault gun designation) oh well... you know what they say about assuming.
  4. Nice to get some info on that I was under the impression that that SU-152 was built on the T-34 chassis like the SU-85, but I admit that I have never actually pondered it much and just taken SU as T-34 and ISU as IS.
  5. Yeah I thought so too... might have been once upon a time.
  6. Oh ok, yeah, the gun MG42 x2 and x3 files should probably not be used in the game as it seems to add gunfire after the firing has stopped.
  7. Heh, well I didn't play any more than that unfortunately. Like I said, I just did it to compare the sounds for fun.
  8. The video speaks for itself: Might want to look into how those sounds work :/ (Personally I only mod the gun mg42.wav file. that's the one you named wrong so that's the one that didn't work)
  9. I vaguely recall having one of my finnish troops throw a molotov some 150 meters or so... Of course, BFC claimed it was a bug, but we all know the truth
  10. Soo... decided to try out your MG42 sounds by just popping them in my override folder (thus, theoretically, overriding my own sounds). This highlighted an interesting problem. I'll upload a video of it asap.
  11. Although I think it would be interesting to see a company of T-34/76's supporting infantry in urban combat.
  12. I don't know. Like I said, it was just a feeling I got. If someone feels like going through all the scenarios to check, feel free to do so But it's too damned hot here for me to do anything right now!
  13. Heh, I have pretty good turtlebeach headphones Btw, speaking of rapid fire and machineguns... I had one lone LMG guy run into that first house on the left flank (you know the one). When he got in there he started switching between the DP LMG and the PPSH-41 that he apparantly had picked up from a fallen comrade... that boy was a one-man squad! I suck when it comes to moving camera angles, but static ones are easy to pick. But now that I know how to move the camera slowly forward, I might be moving into more dramatic camera angles Glad you liked the video and didn't think I was derailing your thread
  14. Maby it's the "this is rare so it's cool, I'll use it"?
  15. IIRC only 130 of them were built... and yet I see them in plenty of scenarios in CMRT. Or maby I'm just imagining things. But it feels like there are more IS-1's than one might expect. How many IS-1's were directly involved in operation bagration (in the areas covered by the game at least)? Anyway, like I said, it's just a feeling. But it feels like the IS-1 should be a rare thing, not something that pops up often enough to feel "common".
  16. Here's a link to the video: Same scenario, but with a soundmod instead of vanilla sounds (only the first 5 minutes or so of the battle)
  17. Whatever was at hand I suspect. I don't think the germans (or even the russians) had the luxury of handpicking what armor support they would bring into a city assault. But I can imagine that assault guns live up to their names in cities.
  18. Oh, btw, I played this scenario a bit yesterday to see if I could get some nice footage to record and I'm thinking of uploading it here as a comparison between vanilla sounds and my soundmod. Just for fun of course, it's such an intense fight that you can't really make out what's happening alot of the time.
  19. That's probably exactly the thing. I've been using right-click and mouse to move the camera angle, but always the keyboard to move the camera forward/back/left/right. It never dawned on me that left clicking and holding would move the camera around.
  20. How do you get such smooth camera movement? And I don't mean panning and turning the camera, I mean slow forward movement. From the looks of it, you do it with the mouse, is there something I've missed with camera movement? The mouse only moves the camera up/down/left/right as far as I know.
  21. Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! For a minute there, I thought I was at a forum of one of the other regular mainstream games I play and not the well-mannered and intelligent forum of BFC. You'd do well to drop the mainstream forums attitude at the door friend. This ain't the place for such behaviour.
