Why not make Real-Time?
Boris Balaban replied to Black_night38's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)
Black_night38 you can also try "RED ALERT" which is a real time game. I tried it and I would prefer a turn base game. I have been playing a game “EMPIRE DELUXE” for 5 years and 2 years PBM and I will still play it into the 21 century. -
Suicidal acts or plain stupidity

Fionn I hope if you are playing PBM your opponent does not read your last posting. -
Mary Christmas to all. May all your wishes come true in the new year (the release of CM).

We call it Lady Luck from gambling when the gambler thinks that the pretty lady by him helps him win. But really I am not an expert in shooting a gun and if you take any person (who is not a Robin Hood) and ask them to shoot a target then shoot at the last hole made and I am sure that they will miss. Only by luck will they shoot a perfect shot. That is my opinion. -

One thing showing us is you will never have the same outcome if you play the same scenario the same way or try to. This is why in this game you can be a poor player with lady luck on your side and you can win. I have played other games head to head and if you do not know how to play and use your resorces you will definently lose. -

In the good old days of play Panzer Blitz unless you had a 6-1 odds you had a chance of missing the target. Very disappointing to bring all that firepower and the target gets away. I think in WW2 Bazookas were not very accurate. When I use to play a game called SNIPER and you had a bazooka, you almost had to have the HT or tank beside you to get a hit. -

If Apple would have sold thier computers at the same price as all the IBM clones were, then maybe the world (and Apple) would not have Bill G. and his software in control! -
Me too. Me too. Is this a way of getting a head count on sales???

Fionn You make my mouth drull with all the units. Just make me wish to speed up time.

Boris Balaban replied to Rommel's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)
Waitng for the full release while fixing up the home to sell it (sold Tuesday night) now I have to find a new place to set up camp. It is driving me into the ground. The gold release will make it up and feel good. -

Boris Balaban replied to Rommel's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)

There will be a change in the weather?
Boris Balaban replied to Rhet's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)
Will you have patches of fog. Say around bodys of water or low laying areas? They can stay in thier areas and not move through the battle. -
May be they know about CM is going GOLD soon.

FIONNS IDEA FOR GUIDE FOR GAMERS ETHICS
Boris Balaban replied to SS_PanzerLeader's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
A FO would know the the battery is out of ammo but whos to say that the artilery is wating for supplies any time and the FO would come in handy for spotting. So would it be prudent to waist him or just get him in a strategic possition? But I agree give them a high point value for lossing them. -
Another movie was "They were expendable" about the first real use of PT boats in the Pacific war WW2.
-
How about the movie in North Africa about the British and I think it had the word "rats" in it, maybe it was called "The Rat Patrol" not the TV series or mabe "The Desert Rats". Some one help me!

The Longest Day. The best in my opinion. The Great Excape. Another good film. Stalak 13. I misspelled it but another good film.

Has anyone managed this?
Boris Balaban replied to Berlichtingen's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)
Berlichtingen In my opinion is that the HT has the driver and passengers exposed more then the Hell Cat. Thinner armor, open windows, wider top, more exposer to the under carriage to destroy. Not every hit is a direct hit to take a vehicle out. But I am no expert in the field -
If the vote goes "Ship It".
Boris Balaban replied to Boris Balaban's topic in Combat Mission Archive #1 (1999)
No. I live in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada -
If the vote goes "Ship It" I think that means that the demo will be very close? Boy Santa is coming early. If you are Ukrainian Saint Nick is coming on time (December 19th). ------------------

Will the serial connection work?
