quote:
Originally posted by Big Time Software: CM2 will be out in about a year from now. CM1 will most likely not come down in price until then (if at all). Anybody that would pass up on a great game for a year for the hope of getting a $10 or so discount is being a bit silly IMHO I mean, $10 over the space of 365 days is under 3 cents a day. I lose more pocket change here and there during that Steve [This message has been edited by Big Time Software (edited 10-01-2000).]

Steve could you some time in the future start a new forum only for CM2?

If you wait for CM2 you will loose out on the training on how to move and control units and get an understanding how the game functions. The demo could do this but the full version gives you different weather conditions and time of day and far more variety of units.

quote:
Originally posted by Abbott: From what I have read it will only resemble AH's squad leader in name only. CM is Squad Leader (only better) actually. I believe BTS started out to make Squad Leader then went their own direction if I recall correctly. Idea for a new unit in CM2

quote:
Originally posted by Mace: The Russians did try to train demolition equipped dogs to run under the German tanks during the early stages of the Eastern Front campaign. Trouble was, the dogs not only ran under the German tanks, but under the Soviet tanks, the General's field car, and Farmer Boris' favorite horse-drawn cart as well! This idea was soon scrapped! CM3...(i know, I already did a search.....)
Boris Balaban replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I too am waiting for CM3. I use to have a game called Tobruk by AH. It was a battle of the British out flanking the Germans (if they let them). I even saw a game using minitures were the Axis advanced on a Allied strong hole and had a 6 pounder dug in with smokless AT shells and gave the Axis a bloody nose (sort of reminds me of the movie "Desert Rats"). -
Any direct hits? If not I can see why they were still intact. The crews are another question.

quote:
Originally posted by tailz: Well... it would appear that I am to be the last Canuck to get a hold of CM... this sux! HELLO... BTS!!! For CM2 you should offer your customers the option to pay for FedEx or Purolator to skip this Postal Service/Customs ,*&!@#@@#$#@ (expletive deleted). I for one would be happy to pay a little extra to skip this runaround.

You are not the only one left!

quote:
Originally posted by Little Black Devil: Hey Boris, if it means anything, it took 14 days for it to reach me in Winnipeg, and that includes the long weekend. It was postmarked the 21st of June and I got it on July 4th. Enjoy your free time now...once you get CM you won't have any ...and whats more is you won't even care!

Mine too was shipped on the 21st of June. You would think we in Canada would get them all about the same time not more then 3 working days.

At work I have a RAGE PRO TURBO AGP 2X 8Mbs and it runs but you loose sight of the curser (always) and one why to bring the curser back us use the "ESC" key then go back into it. But it should work.

Still no joy in K/W.??? I did ask Steve if my shipment went out and he replied "Your two copies did indeed go out. I think they actually left our warehouse on the 21st, which is of course later than we expected".

Please do not try and find out how many CM were sold. Steve and Charles do not want it published. If you do figure it out please do not post it in any way. By the way I too would like to know (and many others) but I accept what BTS/Battlefront wants.
