  1. @benparkhas been creating some really cool maps. He though that it may be interesting if we posted screenshots of them and mention where they represent and the size of the maps. Not everyone wants to cut down maps themselves and make scenarios. Portions of most (probably all) are spread through the module in scenarios, campaigns and Quick Battle maps. He said there are about 20 in all. Here are screenshots from 3 of them: Arnswalde 2824x
  2. VS in the summer of 1944 currently look like VC in the summer of 1969...if ya know what I mean.
  3. The Partisans aren't camera ready yet. Anything else that I can pull up for ya?
  4. Did I say January 8th? I meant Janruary 8th.
  5. January 7th is not the official release date. January 8th is. Pre-orders will be open before then.
  6. Yes, I know. The announced date is January 8th (as you'll see in my post). I'd suggested checking in on the 7th to pre-order and to make sure something hadn't changed with that date. (It's hard to be more aware of his birthday than I am...Through most of the 70's and 80's my friends and I would gather and listen to each album in chronological. )
  7. @Aragorn2002I have given you an exact release date. There is no more need to ask for one anymore. Additionally, because we have an exact date announced, it is irrelevant to speculate on why that is the release date. What would doing that change since we have the exact date already? It won't change the date. Those that know why it is that date are bound by their NDAs and those that don't know...no other way to say it....don't know. If the delivery of the module is the only point of interest for you then I'd suggest you give yourself some space and take and deep breath and come back on January 7th. If you're interested in other aspects of the module and/or Combat Mission we'd love to hear from you. Your input is valued, appreciated and welcome.
  8. The reworked British Forces campaign Highland Games is now available! Here is a direct link: https://battlefront.sharefile.com/share/view/s7d76501e23a4e608/fof9f423-8c9f-4494-82e5-704ab8a27de7 Thank you @Heirloom_Tomatofor taking over for this and all of the guys who tried to break it before we were able to release it.
  9. The patch will give you everything that you need. Open a Help Desk ticket. One of the testers recently had an issue with a Windows update.
  10. There was a very odd, and important, bug that was found with Javelins. It's been fixed with this patch

  13. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Bowie fan than me (I could get into it but it isn't the right place and it's likely to bore) but I only found out recently that Bowie played that riff on the album. I couldn't remember who played guitar on the album about a month ago. I looked it up and except for one song the only guitar credits were for Bowie.
  14. Sure. January 8th 2021. (release timed for Bowie's birthday)
  15. Your timing is perfect. I was just thinking that it had been a while since I posted here (and I still haven't finished my side of the AAR) and trying to think of what kind of update would be useful or interesting information. Most stand alone scenarios are marked as "Final". Which, for us, means that they are done done. The artwork is in, they've been tested and tweaked all that they are going to be tested and tweaked (unless something very unexpected comes up in a build that would break the scenario). The campaigns are close to being wrapped up. There is one fairly big TO&E element that has not been added to the module yet. Once that's in I would expect for things to move along extremely quickly.
  16. Based on some feedback I saw on the Steam forum I looked into this. It does appear that it is fixed. Here you can see where the red trenches are and what the US can see during turn 1. No shadows of trenches. If I'm misunderstanding something please point me in the right direction.
  17. Well.....While I appreciate the original post's sentiments about wanting to rally troops to post their reviews I don't think it is necessary. Anyone who wants can review or not review their Steam game as they see fit. Since then this thread has gone south pretty badly and there really isn't any reason to keep it going. I think everyone has had a chance to freely express their thoughts on the issue.
  18. You are absolutely 100% correct. The subjective opinions you included in your review are as valuable and valid as anyone else's opinions. I did almost reply to it yesterday because I took personal exception to something you said though. You said that no Battlefront employee had posted here in months. I am a full time Battlefront employee and I post here all the time. Steve, the co-founder, has been posting frequently. MikeyD works for Battlefront, he posts constantly. That isn't a matter of opinion. Ultimately I decided not to reply.
  19. @hapless your tutorial videos are fantastic! I really enjoyed them. Thanks!
  20. It's funny that you say that.....I've kinda always felt the same way. And I use it so infrequently that not only does it take a long time to open but it always wants to update the software too. That said, there are also a lot of advantages on Steam. Like the games being "self patching" and all of your games "travel" with you to wherever you have Steam installed. There's no perfect system.
  21. Any problems with a key you should first open a ticket with the Help Desk. Make sure to include the naughty key so that is can be checked. If the issue is on our part we can take care of it pretty quickly for you. I would be very surprised if there any any module key issues though. My fear is that some manually created keys may have slipped through for people that Upgraded the Paradox version for instance. Regardless......We had Plan B already in place for anyone that runs into an issue.
  22. I just set the edit time to 2 hours. It was set at 60 minutes. I'm working on changing the color of the background of quotes. I was getting an error message while trying to change the color and I just heard back from them that it isn't "end user error" (which I had assumed). There is a bug that causes the error. So, it won't be changed right away but don't start falling in love with the blue because it's going to change as soon as the fix is done. I'm thinking a light gray would be nice.
  23. Yeah. It is the matter of time that a poster is given to edit a post that I am looking to get changed.
