About your literary standards.
quote:
I find myself struggling to maintain consciousness….The only way in which I may gain a modicum or respect for you is if you accept this challenge.

I see, the very effort of processing a thought in that 1 brain cell you possess saps your strength, and renders you unconscious As for a challenge, refer to my loyal and wonderful squire, Armornut – He needs the frequent CM points to rack up his much deserved knighthood!
quote:
Originally posted by a recently paroled Lorak: D) FPS's really calm me down after a bad day at work. Nothing like running around killing your friends

Lorak, we normally play RS in the spirit of co-operation and mutual support against mutual enemies – however, a grenade has been lobbed in the wrong direction on occasion (mainly towards me).
quote:
Originally posted by some damned CM intellectual, or Seanachai, I forget: You must resist the urge to go trolloping about with these sorts of games. Oh, some RPG now and again, perhaps some TB Strategy, but online FPSs and such are the work of the devil, and, as everybody knows, lead to nervous tics, angry letters to the editor, and school shootings. Do you really want to encourage those sorts of things?

Playing these games does not *twitch* lead to nervous tics, angry letters to the editor, and school shootings, and if you continue with such posts I will be around to blow you *twitch* effing brains out!!!!!!!!!!,…… but only after I send this letter of complaint to the local newspaper.
quote:
Originally posted by Lawyer – who gives decent public servants everywhere a bad name: Mace continues to live and post on the forum, no matter what humiliation he suffers

Especially that of being mentioned by the likes of you Mace (Rogue Spear / Urban Ops bullet magnet) [ 05-04-2001: Message edited by: Mace ]
 8.
quote:
Originally posted by Stuka: Tut tut,Macey grey, people in glass houses should not throw stones. Who are you to judge with your history of...ummm....'persuasions'?

I’m pleased that you’ve kindly spared some of you valuable time to make a contribution regarding my comment, time that could have been spent playing with your ‘thingey’, manipulating you ‘thingey’, or generally just slapping your ‘thingey’ about (which would I be correct in assuming would be a frequent pastime of yours?) But please allow me to make just a small correction to your comment, that’s ‘perversions’, not ‘persuasions’. Mace

 12.
quote:
Originally posted by DekeFentle: Mace if that really is a Pershing rolling down my right flank and not the gross exaggeration of my trembling horde, I would like to direct you to the words “Fionn’s rules of 76 in effect” in the setup e-mail for this game. I have been wondering about that arty too? It seems bigger than 155mm but I guess it always does when you’re on the receiving end. Please note this is not an accusation as I have no proof to offer other than to point to your well known gameyness

Dear name-who-sounds-like-a-bowel-medical-condition, I cannot recall any discussion regarding the Fionn's rule of 76mm in our discourse. This is because either: i) It never eventuated; ii) It eventuated but I chose to not to notice it (something about my eyes glazing over when I read your e-mails) iii) It eventuated, I noticed it, I ignored it, and then I catagorically denied it (this of course being standard form for we public servants, where accountability is quickly redirected elsewhere when a fault occurs, but praise gladly accepted, along with the yearly bonus). I leave it for you to decide. Mace

You have all the artistic ability of a disemboweled zebra in heat, you effiminate fop. I challenge you, Lady Mace. Perhaps you can become a performance artist and DANCE FOR ME LIKE THE TROLLOP YOU ARE! Ahem. I shan't, however, stick dollar bills in your garter. (Put your wallet away, Bauhaus). I await your reply. Perhaps you could send it in the form of some type of lacey, flowery doohickey reflective of your (lack of) masculinity. MrSpkr

Did I hear something? Oh sorry, I wasn’t aware that the brown oozy scum that floats upon the cess had some level of rudimentary intelligence, let alone had a name - MrSpkr. MrSpkr, congratulations on achieving the first rung of the evolutionary ladder, the rest of us here are some many billion of years of evolution ahead of you, but you will find the journey to full sentience rewarding and enlightening. And since I haven’t played a (almost) sentient ooze before, I will play you so that some of my brilliance will be shared with you and speed up your path to apehood! Please email me you proposed setup Mace (benefactor of all almost-sentient oozes, slimes and MrSpkr )
 16. I am an artist who expresses my perception of cultural nuances through written screams! I have bowed to my critic's wishes (ie all you cesswankerludlians) but I must say - curse you, you cultural philistines who have no appreciation for the fine arts! 23.
quote:
Originally posted by Stalin's Organ: And the Aussies weren't in the Dessert long enough to be feared by anyone - they left to surrender at Singapore. Their poorly trained militia put up a hell of a fight in New Guinea, but were helped by terrain and poor Jap supply and tactics just as the Empire troops had those things agaisnt them in Malaya.

Some points: i) I suggest you do some reading on both Tobruk and El Alemain, and the contribution Australia made there. The Germans in particular feared the night patrols that the Aussies carried out during the Tobruk siege. I'd also draw your attention to the comment Rommel made about Australian troops (I'll leave it for you to search - but it efectively said that he would give anything to have a division of Australians) ii) Australian troops didn't surrender at Singapore, the English in command made that decision. iii) Regarding The Kokoda trail, Isn't the use of terrain the point of tactics? Obviously the Australians made better use of the terrain, and given that these were Australian militia and not regulars against a harden Japanese cadre, Hmmm? iv) I suggest next time you do some research before posting. And while at it continue by reading of our exploits in WW1, Korea, The Malyasia incursion by Indonesia, Vietnam, the Gulf War (our mine clearing team), and various UN missions Mace
