  1. Microsoft Word or WordPad will read it. By default clicking on the document should have invoked one or the other of those applications. Gordon
  2. Folks, One other point to note (that's discussed in the User_Readme.rtf) is that there are 2 kinds of CMMOS mods. "Old-style" and "New-style". "New-style" basically covers all the CMBB mods that have just been released. "Old-style" covers all the CMBO mods. "Old-style"/CMBO mods are still installed by unzipping the archives directly into the CMBO BMP folder. They don't contain all the information that's necessary to allow them to be installed by CMMOS. Once they're installed, they work the same as they did in CMMOS v3.02. Also, "Old-style" mods can be converted to "New-style", and the instructions on how to do so are included in the User_Readme.rtf. Gordon

  4. Are you trying to install CMBO mods while you've selected CMBB in CMMOS? Pick one of the mods that fails to install, try to install it, exit CMMOS and then e-mail the file CMMOSLog.txt (from within the CMMOS install folder) to "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" and I'll take a look. Thanks, Gordon
  5. Rachel, What folder was CMBB originally installed to? What are the contents of that folder? Thanks, Gordon
  6. Hmmm. I just tried installing a mod from within CMMOS' CMBB mod sub-folder and everything worked fine. Leutnant Hortlund, You placed the mods in the CMBB mod sub-folder? Please e-mail me at "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" as I'd like to completely understand what happened. Thanks, Gordon
  7. SaTyR, CMMOS is actually supposed to handle this case, but it's possible that there's a bug that was introduced since the last time it was verified. I'll enter it in my buglist and try to reproduce/fix it. Thanks, Gordon
  8. Old Dog gets the credit for the improved documentation. Gordon
  9. justgazgaz, You can use CMMOS v4.00 with both CMBO and CMBB. If you only have CMBO then every time your run CMMOS with the lower right-hand drop-down box set to "Beyond Overlord" rather than "Barbarrosa to Berlin" CMMOS will ask you where your CMBO executable is. So, if you have CMBB, but NOT CMBO, make sure that you have the drop-down box set to "Barbarrosa to Berlin" when you exit CMMOS and you shouldn't be asked the question again. If you have further questions, please see the User_Readme.rtf that's installed with CMMOS and or e-mail me at "gordonemolek@poboxes.com" and I'll be happy to help you out. Gordon
  10. If I understand this correctly use the unextracted downloaded zip file. Gordon is that correct?</font>
  11. Ok, the link for MrNoobie's T-34-85 model 1944 (late) should be fixed. Gordon
  12. You click on "Configure", then select the "Rule-sets" tab, click add and then select the rule-set's zip file. For more information, see the "User_Readme.rtf" that was nicely updated by "Old Dog." Gordon [ November 18, 2002, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: Gordon ]
  13. Ok, I fixed the link for the Pz 38(t). The Panther A (early) didn't make the cut for this update (I have some more unit markings to add). I wasn't aware of the CDV executable name being different. I'll fix this for the next release. Gordon
  14. Man you're fast. You're welcome. Gordon (for CMMOS Cabal, The Pig Pen, and Matt)
  15. Yes, that's right. CMMOS v4.00 and a whole pile o' mods are now available at CM:HQ. What are you waiting for, get thee hence. Gordon p.s. In case you havent seen what its capable of: [ November 18, 2002, 01:05 PM: Message edited by: Madmatt ]
  16. Yes, very close to release. There have been some discussions with a Mac programmer, so there is hope. Gordon
  17. Thanks all. KwazyDog's original makes a fine base to get all dirty. Gordon
  18. Yes, as Doodlebug pointed out, I'm supposed to start modding the mod installer?!? Actually, I think folks will get used to the non-english names pretty quickly, and if not, you can always just go into the rule-set directory and change 'em yourself. Gordon
  19. Geez, why don't they publish the damn thing instead of posting all these damn previews? Der Schweinestall Pz VD (early) thanks to the gracious permission of KwazyDog for the use of his excellent "add-on" Panther pack. It will have all the usual CMMOS bells-and-whistles, with unit markings, tactical numbers (no mirror image problems on this model ), and Nazi aerial recognition flags. And, featuring our patented "Unreal colors formulation." Just pulling your leg Gunslinger Gordon
  20. Just wanted to give everyone a preview of what to expect with the release of CMMOS v4.00 (which should be any day now). For looks at some of the major mods that will be simultaneously released, see this thread. First, the interface to apply mod options is virtually unchanged: and the major mod categories that will be initially supported are: </font> Svinarnik - Dirty Soviet vehicles and guns. </font>Der Schweinestall, dunkelgrau - Dirty German (grey) vehicles and guns. </font>Der Schweinestall, dunkelgelb - Dirty German (yellow/camouflaged) vehicles and guns. </font>Zimniy Kamuflyazh - Winter Soviet vehicles and guns. </font>Winterfahrzeuge, dunkelgrau - Winter German (grey) vehicles and guns. </font>Winterfahrzeuge, dunkelgelb - Winter German (yellow/camouflaged) vehicles and guns. </font>The most significant new features are illustrated in this screen shot: Mods and rule-sets are both installed by CMMOS itself, and mods are kept in their ZIP archives to save space and to not clutter up the BMP (and WAV) folders. Preview images and readme documentation provided with each mod and rule-set is displayed for easy review, and the list of mods can either be sorted or re-ordered as you see fit. So, that's what's in store for folks, and we think it will have been worth the wait. Gordon (for the CMMOS Cabal and The Pig Pen team)
  21. Lt. Bull, The intention with this batch is to create a whitewashed version of (almost) every vehicle and gun as quickly as possible so that folks have a set of winter textures to play with. Putting snow or mud/dirt on the vehicles would delay release of the complete set by say, 2 years. I hope that eventually all of the vehicles will get complete snowy/muddy make-overs, hopefully based on these, but you never know. Gordon
  22. THe Finnish swastika is the wrong way round in the tank on the left. Is this the bit which is mirrored on the other side of the turret?</font>
  23. Well, he's still at it. Won't someone stop this boy before he mods again? You'll note that THESE armored cars are kinda yellow-ish underneath, as opposed to the previous armored cars that are kind of grey-ish underneath. And yes, CMMOS v4.00 should be release ANY DAY NOW. Gordon
  24. Bullethead, Please see Where's CMMOS thread. Is this still too little grime for you? Thanks, Gordon
