I think my main system will be able to run it. 2.9 Intel Duo 2 core 3 gig ram Nvidia 512mb 7600 WinXP but will my legacy system be able to. Intel 8088 4mhz (thats right 4) 1meg ram Hercules monocrome graphics card 10 meg hard drive Dos 3 Maybe if I crank the settings down real low?

What chipset does your Nvida use. They have a lot of 128mb AGPx8 cards. Mine is a 7600 GS which is an upgrade from the 5200 that I had long before.

One other piece of advice. My dad gave me this one just before I went in. "Grab a mop and walk with a purpose." If it looks like you are supposed to be doing something they won't give you something else to do. The bs usually starts when they think you have too much time on your hands. Seriously though, sounds like you'll be fine. And just think, when they start the "X more weeks and I'll be home," cadence calls for you it will actually be true. For active duty guys they will just be changing chowhalls.

Cool, I used to love watching ricochets sail lazily off into the distance, especially with the .50. I still probably won't get the game till Christmas but I am looking forward to it.

So will there be fog or not? My Nvidia 7600gs should show it right? With CM1 I didn't even know there really was fog till I upgraded to an Nvidia card with my old system. The first time I played after the upgrade I though there was something wrong with my system.

I've been online for over 10 years now with various pc's and have yet to get a virus. Just lucky I guess.

I was thinking of reproducing the Neufenauer Gunnery Range map from the first M-1 Tank Platoon game by Microprose, until I realized the map is 64(?) square kilometres. So depending on how big your Hohenfels is, you may find this an issue. You've seen the threads on optimal map size, I take it? There are "pole" flavor objects that could double as Seibert stakes. </font>

Thanks. I was thinking of trying to reproduce my Hohenfels maps. Lack of rivers or bridges won't be too big of a deal. Any Sibert Stakes?

How many different types of terrain are availible? Would it be possible to create Western European type terrain with the map?

I remember the old M1 Tank Platoon game that let you promote people after every battle. By the end of the campaign you ended up with E8 loaders. Pretty stupid part of an otherwise excellent game.
