Seeing as rockets serve the same purpose as railway guns (at least at the lower tech levels), is there someone that could make the appropriate image for these units?

Something like Dora or Gustav would be cool. Unfortunately, my artistic talent is pretty much non existant.

If their are any TOLKIEN fan's here,...i would very-much like to have a Campaign made,...depicting the 'War Of The Ring'-'The Battle For Middle Earth', where MORDOR [sAURON,etc] try to conquer GONDOR and those who are allied with them, such as the HOBBITS, ELVE'S, DWARVE'S & ENT'S!.

Of course...'SAMWISE GAMGEE & FRODO' could be included as far as their mission goes...which was to destroy the RING [Which contolled the King's of Men] by dropping it into the Fire's of MT. DOOM...in-order to vanquish the DARK-LORD!.

This of course is a FANTASY situation...but, why-not a diversion such as this?.

Retributar:

Actually, I have already started the map and localization changes.

The tough part will be the unit bitmaps, I need:

Infantry for Gondor, Rohan, Mordor (Orcs), Isengard (Orcs), Rhun, Dunland, Khand, Harad/Umbar, Elves, Dwarves, Hobbits and Men of the North.

Cavalry for Gondor, Rohan, Mordor (Warg Riders), Isengard (Warg Riders), Rhun, Harad/Umbar and Men of the North.

Elite Forces for Gondor (Knights), Mordor (Great Uruks and Trolls), Isengard (Uruk-Hai), Harad/Umbar (Olpihants), Rhun (Wainriders), Ents, Nazgul, Dead Men and Goblins, Men of the North (Rangers).

The flags should be easy and HQs will be changed to Hero Units such as Aragorn, Gandalf, Elrond, Sauruman, Gothmog etc.

I will also need bitmaps for cities, strongholds/castles and villages. The scenario will start after the break up of the fellowship with event scripts to trigger the Ents, Dead Men, Ring Movement etc.

If you know any sources, let me know. I have tried my files from Battle for Middle Earth One and Two but they are all in file types that I don't know, unlike SC2 which are bitmaps.

Saruman's army consisted mainly of orcs like this.

Isengard was the stronghold of Saruman, an ally (servant) of Sauron of Mordor. Saruman used orcs to assault Helm's Deep. But they were defeated and destroyed and Isengard itself was attacked by an army of Ents with the help of Merry and Pippin.

Theodan sent his people to Helm's Deep as a result of the raiders from Mordor and the new threat from Saruman in Isengard.

Lord of the Nazgul: Chief of all the servants of Sauron, the Witch-king (Lord of the Nazgul) was, in origin, one of the black Numenoreans who the Dark-lord seduced to his own service by the gift of one of the Nine rings. The rings conferred great power upon their wearers but also subjugated them forever to the will of Sauron.

Half-orc of Isengard-He was part of Saruman's experiment of cross breeding orcs with humans to be able to withstand daylight

Gimli, son of Gloin, from the Dwarf Kingdom under the Lonely Mountain, was chosen by Elrond to represent the Dwarven folk among the Companions of the Ring.

Gandalf the Grey, the wandering wizard, called Mithrandir by the Elves, was well known amongst the peoples of Middle Earth.

Saruman was chief of the Istari or order of wizards in Middle-earth.

Isengard orc warrior-Orcs of the white hand, one race amongst many in Saurman's army.

Wargs are gigantic evil wolves - massive and dangerous creatures with a cunning and carnivorous intelligence. A Warg is so large and strong that an Orc can ride upon the creature's back much like a horse. These Warg Riders scout far ahead of the main armies of Orcs and other Evil creatures, spying out the land and picking off stragglers for interrogation or some far worse fate.

ORC CHIEFTAIN

http://uk.games-workshop.com/thescouringoftheshire/miniature-gallery/114/

orc-chieftain-big.jpg

Orcs are the foulest creatures to walk Middle-earth. They are evil-hearted monsters that rejoice in slaughter and destruction. Orcs bear little loyalty even to their own kind and will readily fight amongst themselves over the spoils of their conquests. Inept workmen, their clothing is ill-made and ragged, their armour is crude, and their weapons as well-suited to butchery as to war. Yet they are numerous - untold thousands make up the armies of Saruman and Sauron and their natural cowardice makes them an ideal tool of evil intent.

Thank's for the Game Design suggestion Fartnock3r !,...Im sure that,...that could be a possibility!. Haven't heard from 'Honch' on any posting's lately!,...maybey he's pre-occupied with something or on vacation, so presumably when-ever he is available again!,...he may consider that as a viable possibility!. I think that it's a "GREAT IDEA"!.
