Irishguard, Hombre Plin, .... well lets not go that far BTW, Everyone can join this tourney no problem. So many players are active now, we might just as well play a tourney. RULES: Standard rules i.e i) 1:5:30 Bid. ii) AA research forbidden iii) DOW+landing on the same turn against Major nations is forbidden In group games a draw is a draw. In Play-Off, if after best out of 3 games both are even (say 1 win each and 1 draw) the players must play a fourth game. AAR on forum is recommended. GROUPS: There will be two groups with 6 players in each. Every player will face the other players in the group (5 games per player). The first TWO players in each group, advance to the Play-Off. Play-off is best out of 3 games. DEADLINE: Deadline for the Group Play is July 3, 24:00 GMT. Means players still have 3 weekends to play. Those games that are not played will be judged the following. The guy that posts on forum and starting an AAR will win over the guy that did not show up or did not post anything. REPORT WIN/LOSS: Loser reports loss, winner does nothing. I am in - but FFS please place me and Rambo in Group B. You could ask some PL dudes to fill the empty spots. Some of them provide very good games/good challenges. Anyway, if i was not going to use a dice then I would have to either handpick or use seeded. It is too tough to seed ppl now, many top players have not played each others lately. Also, if seeded, what if some high player (Terif) join in 2-3 days and he is NOT seeded since the seeded places are occupied??? Also, I would not like handpicking because it would leave critique if I seeded myself to a better group. HR, since there is no way to have a strategy to "going for 0-0" as in soccer and since the spectators that watch a boring game are very few (compared to millions watching a soccer game) there is no reason having 3 points for win. I could have 10 points for win and 5 points for draw but many points does not mean it becomes any better. So, i choose random. Winning the tourney means you gotta beat the best. Group A... Help me God!!! Gotta win 2 games to be sure to qualify, 1 win and 1 draw could be enough too. Btw, this random lottery could be well too. If Liam and Rambo join they will be in Group B and could much easier schedule games. I can understand your SC burnout but search your feeling my very young padawan, the burnout is caused by that 'punkte' system crap PL has over there (with all due respect to its creators, but I really hate that punkte stuff - if you catch Yoda dead drunk and he flies his LFs into the ocean or RAI the living sh*t out of him and the game ends in 10 turns, you won't score squat cuz of the punkte BS, you score good only if you play games ending past 42,43) Here ain't no punkte, no nada - you are free to end the game in 1 turn if you so like. This tourney will have all sort of players - gamblers, strategists, cowboys and of course people who have nothing to do with playing SC and will bitch with every opportunity that arises - I am reffering to Zapster, of course So, move your deutsche butt and sign up !
