activation code invalid?
lucero1148 replied to lucero1148's topic in Combat Mission: Shock Force Tech Support
Good point, wasn't thinking. -
Hi ticket #GDQ-149942 I recently bought cmbn's add-on Commonwealth game. Installed, no problem and then when it came to activatiing the code, gotten of the BFC download web site from my accounts page, copied and pasted it into the box, I get a: Not a valid authorisation code. My last email from e-license support was Apr 20. Hi Patrick, Is the game asking for the CMBN 'base' game license key or the Commonwealth license key ? Is this: your base game license key or Commonwealth license key ? === Check out our Knowledge Base at www.battlefront.com/helpdesk Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: GDQ-149942 Department: License Activation Priority: Urgent Status: On Hold So I've been on hold for 2 days. What gives? Is there a fix? Is the above authorization code valid or not? That is the number that was generated by BFC so I do not know if it is for the original game I bought or the Commonwealth add-on. Would be nice to know what's going on. Patrick

lucero1148 replied to cmezriczky's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
Looking forward to seeing it. -
Hi, I thought this question could be searched but nothing turns up. So will CMSF ever be ported to run on MAC OSX?

First Impressions (CM:BN Full Release)
lucero1148 replied to Manx's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Hi, I'm using a 17" MBP2011 laptop with a 27" LED display. When I open the Mac demo how do I move the game screen to my 27" display? Battlefront did an excellent job on tis game. I feel like I did when I first played CMBO, just overawed at the realism of the gameplay and the graphics ...outstanding! -
Mac version Pre-order?

Any idea when the steelbox Mac OS version comes out? Is BFC going to convert CMSF series too? -
Mac Support? Planned?
lucero1148 replied to Colin's topic in Combat Mission: Shock Force Tech Support
I'd certainly like to see a MAC OSX version as I've given up playing CMSF because I can't be bothered to shut down and re-boot into bootcamp to play it. It's just to much of an inconvenience to use Windows XP when OS X is so much easier to use. All best Patrick -

Raid inside Syria by US SOF huge success (Bill Roggio)
lucero1148 replied to meade95's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
What surprises me is that Syria does have a capable Russian AA missile defense system and it being a militarized country I find it hard to believe that 4 US helicopters could fly over into Syria without their military not knowing about it and without any defensive action taken by the Syrians. So for my money the Syrians were tipped off and looked the other way for the US to take action. The Syrians made their after action protests but its all for show. Patrick -
New to this kind of game
lucero1148 replied to chuckman737's topic in CMSF Strategy and Tactics Forum
The games on the cd are all very good and well thought out. For additional games made by players go to www.cmmods.com and you can get a number of excellent scenarios and campaigns from the community. The ones I like are: Assault on precinct 13 King Copper Mines Chechen War There's dozens out there so just check it out and see what looks good to you. There's also quite a ot of mods to individualize the look of the game. Patrick -
Hi It seems the game crashes on other scenarios and campaign games as well. some games are fine some aren't those that do crash though it seems to be some sore of graphic conflict at the instructions on the blue screen says to check my Bios and change my settings on shadows? I'm using a SR MacBook Pro with 256 MB VRam Nvidia chip. So is this a video card problem? Do I need a new driver? How do I go into BIOS? thnaks Patrick

Hi I'm using a Mac SR MBP with 4gb ram and a 160 gb HD/7200 and the nvidia 256 video chip for this laptop. Wenever I try to play "assault n Precinct 13 v1.8 I get a fatal error which ends up crashing XP. Has anyone noticed this happening? prior to it crashing I hear a clicking noise and then the game freezes for a few seconds then up pops the blue screen error report. Error report after CMSF crashes system. I have all the drivers for my macbookpro installed. Is it possible this scenario is jinxed? Patrick

Has Battlefront considered the new Steamworks system?
lucero1148 replied to Ooog's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
It's been a long while since I last posted but I thought a Mac version was never coming out because the Intel Macs can play CMSF via boot camp. I'd prefer a Mac OS version as bootcamp means partioning your hd just for Windows and a waste of space to play one game. It's also a bit of a hassle to have to shift from Mac Os and re-boot into Windows. If it wasn't such a good game I wouldn't bother with Windows at all. Patrick -
Mac OSX CMSF release confirmed!
lucero1148 replied to YankeeDog's topic in Combat Mission Shock Force 1
I've got a MBP with 4gb ram and it makes a big difference when you're running CS3 apps, office, email and itunes. Bridge will shut down on 2gbs of ram if you've got things going on in the background and it never does with my MBP. Any idea wen cmsf will come out for osx? I play it occasionally on bootcamp but switching over just to play is bothersome. -
True but the Mac Market is growing faster than ever. Most of the major universities are seeing anywheres from 10 to 25% increases in the amount of studnets using Mac laptops. So the growth potential is there for Mac gaming. Albeit my bootcamp XP works far better than any company owned PC I've ever worked with and I'm talking about AMD dual cores running at 3.2mhz. They were brand new but it took about 3 weeks to get them to run without crashing and on the network.
-
I like the game since 1.03. Works really well but I don't have the time to really get into it as I'm using an apple MBP and its a pain going back and forth thru boot camp. I'd play it a lot more if it was on the Mac platform.
-
Well if and when SF gets ported to the Mac will it be able to run on duo cores instead of having to constantly switch off a core at every startup? Hopefully all the bugs will be worked out by then. When it does I'd buy the Mac version and throw away my windows copy. As it is now once I got the game up and running (MBP) I was pretty blown away just watching my stykers blow up. I just can't seem to get the hang of RT vs WEGO. Despite the flaws its not a bad game and compared to a lot of games that do come out SF is a whole lot better and we have seen marked improvements with1.03. all best Patrick

Well finally I've got cmsf going on my intel mac. Once I made the game run on a single processor its been a totally new experince and I think its pretty cool! I think if you all bought intel Macs then your problems will be solved. haha! and all best too, Patrick
