Macisle
Hi, all. My current (old) monitor is about to die the death. I would love to get recommendations from the community as to a great monitor for CM:BN. I will also use it for work--web and print stuff and some movie editing for my small business, using mostly Adobe CS5. I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX470 card (DVI Max Resolution : 2560x1600). 23" is about max size for my desk area and I'd like to keep it under $200 or so. Thanks! gunnergoz
I just got what I consider a really nice ViewSonic 24" 1080p LCD Widescreen Monitor, (VA2431WM) for my wife from Walmart for $179. It has speakers and should show off your video card nicely. We've had it for about 2 months and I'm now jealous! http://www.walmart.com/ip/ViewSonic-VA2431WM/14301919
MikeyD
I think I recall someone figuring out a way to patch the line into his giant wall mounted flat screen TV! It helps immersion when the tanks and soldier are actually life size. And no, I don't have a clue how he did it. I'm as technically proficient as brick.
Magpie_Oz
I use a flat screen TV via the HDMI port, really cool.
Bastables
Depends on what you want, if it's more for gaming I'd suggest going for dells alianware monitor as it has 120mhz, which is a throw back to the proper mhz one could have on a crt monitor. It's a TN panel so it has colour shift issues like all TN panels but it faster and therefore more responsive for gaming. If you're more interested in colour reproduction but are ok with lag in games go for one of Dell or HP's IPS panels.
