Infantry entering vehicles

Having re-started CMSF after a long period I`m having trouble getting my foot soldiers to enter vehicles. Where do I best place the waypoint?

You place it on the vehicle itself.

IIRC If you afterwards order the vehicle to move, the troops may run to the original position of the vehicle, and only then try and find where it's gone to.

IIRC (again) make waypoints for the vehicle to move to first, THEN place a waypoint for the troops on the vehicle so they will run to where the vehicle will end up.

Erwin is correct I think also, have at least sometimes seen them appear confused if you move the vehicle. If planning to just embark them onto a sitting still vehicle, you just click the vehicle when the little upwards arrow shows green, and they load. If then you move the vehicle before they arrive,they will usually go to the original place,then look for it, so, if planning to move the vehicle, you can either move it first, or, sometimes I will, if the vehicle is far off, have them just go to a spot near where the vehicle will end up,and that way they already begin moving, then once the vehicle is there, can have them load onto it also.

One more tip in case you're still having trouble: you can't load a unit that has more men in it than there are empty seats in the vehicle (little green dots at the bottom of the screen next to the vehicle silhouette).

Hover the move order over the vehicle and when it turns into a green icon pointing downwards that means it's an embark order.
