Sequoia
Whatever happened to French forces in CMSF?? The semi-official word is that while they would be interesting, Battlefront wants to move on. We may get the French in the third Normandy module or CMSF II .

It would be interesting to compare Orders of Battle but obviously he needs to keep his confidential for the Mega Campaign.

Sequoia
Great OOB Did I miss the 101 Air Assault, or have you left them out? I don't recall any 101st Division units in any campaigns and they aren't on the map. I compromised with the 1st infantry and the 82nd airborne as Task Force Panther brings in the entire division along with the 2nd Cav regiment into Turkey. They weren't on the map but both the Panther and Narwick campaigns require something from them. The Commonwealth Desert Force is my creation. I felt it was justified rather than adding them to the 1st Cav which would then become too large.

Noltyboy
Out of curiosity whats the reasoning behind the UK only having 40 Commando in the amphibious assault? The UK pretty much has the second largest amphibious capability in the world and could easily put a reinforced brigade (3 commando brigade) over the beach. Not a complaint just wondering, well done thats a damn long list.

Sequoia
i believe 3 CDO BDE was training for afghanistan at the time and about to be deployed, maybe it has something to do with it I wish I could claim I researched the the deployment of every unit in 2008 but I did not, though I did with some, but I did take the War in Afghanistan and the troop surge in Iraq into account. Another thing I considered is the logistics of supplying all the invasion troops. The supply lines will be pretty long especially once the war starts and everything will have to be trucked across Syria eventually to the Damascus area. This led me to being on the conservative side in selecting the Coalition forces. I've since made a few additions mainly attack helicopters and artillery that I will post, but thanks for the feedback. I am happy to consider any changes.

Sequoia
Can I add a UK unit to the "From Turkey" section? UK Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, 1st Battalion (Warriors in the Sand campaign) Bardosy, sorry but the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment ceased to exist in January 2007. It merged with the Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment to form a new Regiment: The Rifles. May I suggest as an alternative the 5th battallion Rifles Regiment, part of the 20th Armoured Brigade based in Germany? It would not be unlikely for this battallion to ship down on the train along with most of the other NATO forces into Turkey. There is a rail ferry in Istanbul by the way.
Alek
I think that having some big cities and mountain ranges (between Syria and Lebanon, north of Damascus, etc.) it is logical to have more infantry element ... In compaign of Syrian opposition forces we assumed brigade, or about, from 10 th Mountain Division. Likewise, we should remember that in the second have some are reserve component, for suuprot rear routes and occupation task, National Guard, for example, some HBCT and SBCT and MI-BDE (or may be even new structure for MEB) of division of the USNG.
