SD Smack
So playing last night I noticed my pixeltruppen throwing pineapple type grenades. Is this what the German Army uses or was it accidentally added in from Normandy? I checked the other nations and they seem to throw the standard M67 frag. MikeyD
That isn't the Normandy hand grenade (don't ask me how i know ) I just Rezexploded the module BRZ. It seems that hand grenade is the DM51. A German splinter grenade. Huh, you lean something new every day!

c3k
Ditto! I noticed those grenades in-game about 15 minutes prior to this thread. Great timing.
Elmar Bijlsma
People asking for grenade replenishment and noticing this new grenade this soon after the game is out. It surprises me. I can probably count on one hand the number of times my men used grenades during the whole time I played CMSF. How differently they must fight compared to me.
Jonny(FGM)
Or it might be the scenarios your playing? I prefer the heavily foliaged maps, and good scen designers put troops in nasty places where you have to close in to engage the enemy
Elmar Bijlsma
Nah, I play all sorts. Just a suspicious mind at work. If there's a nasty spot I either dump an unholy amount of fire on it or avoid it. The scenario designers are a bit too predictable in their mischievousness. I can see it coming a mile off 9 times out of 10.
Dietrich
I reckon that profligacy with arty and air assets would tend to obviate occasion for using grenades. The scenario designers are a bit too predictable in their mischievousness. I can see it coming a mile off 9 times out of 10. Aren't there relatively few scenario designers? And if their mischeviousness were truly unpredictable, wouldn't some players cry foul and claim, say, that the briefing was shoddy or misleading?
