Thomm
Just fired up EYSA to see how it did certain things, and I made these screenshot which I find kind of nice: Best regards, Thomm

Waycool
hehe extreme FOW good one. I had fun long ago with EYSA it was good for what it was. CMSF has much more depth and "feel".
stoex
Hehe, yeah looks like you were up a little too late yesterday, Thomm! But no worries, we can wait... Cheers!
Thomm
Oh, sorry about that! Seems that the place I uploaded them to is not intended for public viewing ... Best regards, Thomm
gibsonm
Um so now I at least have them twice. I don’t even know what “EYSA” is.
Thomm
I don’t even know what “EYSA” is. Eric Young's Squad Assault Successor of "GI Combat", which, in turns, was essentially Close Combat in 3D. Best regards, Thomm
gibsonm
Thanks, for letting me know.

Thomm
I wont (in a nice way). Thank you! I am not sure what I was trying to say anyway! I think the intended message was that EYSA was viewed by many as not being the pinnacle of wargame development. I find it pretty cute, though. Michael Emrys
I have no opinion on the subject. Michael
Sergei
I was checking Moby Games, and it looks like there was even an Estonian localization of the game! "Uus soda legendaariselt Eric Young'ilt - RÜNNAK LÄÄNERINNE" sounds to Finnish ear like 'n00b warr from da legend E.Y. - Ashault Veest Phront'.
tooz
I had also seen bootleg versions while in China. I tried to like EYSA but it never stuck with me as did the CM series. UH-OH! Here I go again pining for CM 2 WWII...
YankeeDog
I've often wondered if I would have liked EYSA once they got all the problems worked out... I just got so turned off by my experience with the initial GI Combat demo (which I found almost completely unplayable), that I gave up and never returned to the franchise. But I did hear that eventually the most serious problems got worked out and it turned into something worth playing. By that time, though, I had long since moved on... I mean, CMSF had its problems when it first came out (I personally didn't think CMSF really started to come into its own until v1.08), but compared to the state of that first GI Combat demo I tried, CMSF v1.0 was gaming perfection.
