kojdog
I noticed something odd about the BritModule box art posted on the main page... there doesn't seem to be any o-so-familiar ESRB tab on it. Is that only necessary for media that actually sits on a shelf? Just curious, has little to do with your great game. Congrats on the latest release, Cheers!
MikeyD
I'm not sure, but having worked in advertising I'd guess the 'box art' probably predated the actual box by some months. The wonders of Photoshop
MarkEzra
Welcome to the forum... My box does not contain any of that devil code stuff. But I keep it wrapped in aluminum foil all the same. Can't too careful these days.
kojdog
Just pulled out my CM2 (BB) box... no ESRB on this which makes sense since it's not US. However, I am curious about whether or not the US versions need to get rated or not due to the 'by request only' business model of BF (i.e. only in your face because you came to our website and tried to order it... had to present a credit card or paypal account to even get it... etc.). I'm presuming they're still not giving independent credit card accounts to US kids under 18... maybe not. If your government doesn't trust you with smoke or drink, what business do you have with credit?
Elmar Bijlsma
It's a voluntary system. And a bit of a nonsense anyway. A game where I shoot a person gets a high rating yet game where I nuke a city gets a low one. Games are labelled to "prevent games damaging children", letting parents off the hook in regard to actual parenting.
Battlefront.com
We can't use ESRB ratings unless we are approved by them for it. Since ESRB is only relevant for retail sales we don't bother with it at all. Instead, our retail partners do Since British Forces isn't in retail there's no ESRB rating of any sort for it at the moment.
