Michael Emrys
Bad things should happen to spammers. Really, really bad things. Vile, nasty, cruel and degrading things. Worse than their worst possible nightmares. We're still working on it. Michael

Arisaka99
Hello, I'm actually a Theatre of War player. Despite negative publicity it is actually a great game.

Michael Emrys
The Spam, eggs, baked beans, and Spam ain't got much Spam in it. Well, it's your own fault then! You should have ordered the spam, spam, spam, eggs, spam, beans, spam, spam, spam and spam. It's right there on the menu! Michael

Tread Head
Lived in Korea about 5 years... They love it, Spam is a treat! They have a meal, an exspensive meal, called Boodae-chegae, which is basically spicy cabbage soup with Spam in it! Translates to "base-soup". Goes back to the war when everyone was starving, American GI's would toss unwanted Spam to the Koreans who made this soup.
SgtMuhammed
Spam is big in Hawaii.
Subvet
I like it fried up with potatoes and onions. Cube up the spam and potatoes, chop up the onions, and fry it up. Yum! Yeah Sgt, it's HUGE in Hawaii.
MeatEtr
We just covered this about 4 months ago. It's weird though, just saw this thread and am about to go to the grocery store. Just like in that previous thread, I'll probably get a can of it. Mostly due to this new spam thread, I normally don't get it.
gunnergoz
Dogs love it but my cats won't touch it. Russians recall it fondly, since they acquired the taste after tons of it were delivered under Lend-Lease. Don't think the Russian dogs and cat's ever got to sample any, though...but some desperate Russians did sample them.

junk2drive
Tonight's Spam recipe I used bacon Spam, Noh Hawaiian style curry mix, canned potatoes, frozen veggie mix of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. In a wok, dollup of oil, brown Spam. Add potatoes and veggies, 1 cup water. Cover and simmer till veggies thaw. Add mix and water in separate pan. Stir and boil till thick. Pour curry over Spam mix. Stir and boil until sauce thickens. Serve with rice. For plate lunch, add potato or mac salad. Should serve 4 if you fill up on rice.

REVS
It was when I got to the bit about "cover and simmer till veggies thaw" that the full horror of it all hit home. * The horror, the horror *
Michael Emrys
When he threw in the part about the mac salad I had to wonder what his parents had fed him as a small child. Michael
Subvet
What's wrong with macaroni salad? That recipe didn't sound too bad to me.
junk2drive
Michael, you've missed out on plate lunch. No fear L&L BBQ has 4 locations in Washington http://www.hawaiianbarbecue.com/menu.html I guess they took the chicken curry off the menu.
Michael Emrys
What's wrong with macaroni salad? I've never liked it. Good slaw or good potato salad are much to be preferred. But it was the whole combination that I objected to. That recipe didn't sound too bad to me.
