Pandur
while playtesting my scenario i currently work on i found a nice way to use bunkers. or better say found a way to have them a "bit" better protected its not like you notice much difference but it even looks good. only problem i saw so far is that when the bunker gets knocked out, they dont crawl out on the back side through the door but they magicaly appear in front of the bunker. i was pretty puzzled first. i just saw it once, but the next playtests will show if it is always like that. i hope at some point this could get tweaked(if nessesary) as there is no "visual reason" to not go out on the back side. anyways all you have to do is to place the bunker at the end of a straight trench tile, more or less partly into the trench. in the editor it will look as if the bunker is sunk, but in the map the terrain will be leveled to trench level as houses level ground. looks like this->
Meach
That is cool, now place some sandbag doodads around the lip of the trench to the front and see if that absorbs anymore incoming light arms fire?
Hev
Is there any chance we could have another sandbag "doodad" (love that word) that was actualy a line of sandbags piled two or three high and maybe five or six length ways. It would be a great way to distinguish a trench from a drainage ditch.
Meach
with patience you can build up something similar but it's tedious work. A giant sandbag doodad would be a welcome addtion. One click and your done.
the Fighting Seabee
Maybe someone could retexture a low wall into a low sandbag wall. I don't currently have the expertise to do so, but wouldn't that work?
missinginreality
yes been thinking the same thing but i don't want to sacrifice a low wall texture now if only bf would give us some blanks pretty pleeeease?
