Having trouble? Here is what we need to help you!

Recommended Posts

First off, did you look at the manual, there are many helpful hints in there that have helped a lot of people.

If your having a problem licensing the game or you find that after the game installs it won't launch, please review the eLicense FAQ Guide located here: http://www.battlefront.com/elicense_faq.html

Here is the most common issue and fix:

http://www.battlefront.com/elicense_faq.html#nothingappears

This is a current list of problems and suggested solutions:

http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=70&t=000035

If you are still experiencing a problem with CMSF, we need the following at a minimum at least:

1. What version of CMSF are you running {Paradox or Battlefront] and what build number [1.0 or 1.01, etc]

2. What type of processor and speed

3. What type of video card and the driver version.

4. How much memory do you have in your computer?

%. What Operating System are you running (XP, Media Center Edition, Vista, VIsta 64 etc...)

6. What EXACTLY is the problem. List out EXACTLY any error messages you and what is happening. The more detail you can provide the easier it is for us to help you.

1. CMSF BF 1.01

2. E6600 C2D 2.4Ghz @ 2.5

3. GF 8800 GTX 768 VRAM Driver Ver. 162.18

4. 2 GB RAM

%. XP PRo

6. No error messages, just is extremely laggy(ie running at low FPS), Shadows look distorted and blink randomly @ higher settings. Just all jagged out @ lower settings even with aa/af. Getting 10-20 fps looking across some real estate. Looking at a close in firefight expotentially impproves framerate. 30+. Tried all mentioned fixes and nothing seems to help. EOL.

Hello,

I hope you could help me because I'd like very much to start playing it.

1. Dowloaded yesterday from Battlefront. During installation I read something about "101".

2. Intel Core 2 6600 2.4 GHz 2.4 GHz.

3. Nvidia 8800 GTX 768 Mb, Forceware 162.22 (before 158.24).

4. Available memory 1534 Mb (2 Gb RAM 800 MHz). 400 Gb SATA 2 HD.

5. VISTA 64 ULTIMATE, Direct X 10.

6. The game after installed and lisenced is just not working and is inicializing the sistem showing a blue screen. In the blue screen is writen something about Windows protection and memory management problem. I've downloaded and reinstalled with uninstalling the lisence too.

Hi,

I'm taking a lot of flak here... So:

1. CD-ROM 1.00, patched up with 1.01, then uninstalled and now doesn't work at all.

2. Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.60 GHz x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9

3. ATI Radeon 9600 PRO Family driver 6.14.10.6462 and ATI Radeon 9600 Series secondary 6.14.10.6378

4. Hard drive 149 Gb, free space 80 Gb, 1,50 Gb RAM

5. Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 Service Pack: 2.0

6. Bought the CD-ROM version, worked ok but didn't ask for e-license. The framerate was awfully slow and there was some flickering with the terrain features (buildings turned red and yellow, trees changed colour depending on the angle of view), and the adjustments didn't help much. Then I "patched" up with this 1.01 version and got the already famous 92% crash no matter what I tried.

I uninstalled the whole game to be able to play with the earlier version, but the system won't let me install it anymore. I get the report "the setup files are corrupt, please obtain a new copy of the product". This happens always no matter what I do. I bet it's because of that e-licence? Couldn't find any help from other forums. Now what should I do to get back in the fields of fire?

1. Battlefront v1.01

2. Intel Core2 Duo CPU, T7700 @ 2.40 GHz

3. Intel Mobile 965 Express

4. 3.5 GBytes RAM

5. Windows XP

6. When I start the application I don't geht any fonts in the buttons. I do <Alt>-<Tab> to change app and come back to CMSF and then the fonts are there but I have some flickering. Some of the graphics dissapear when I get the mouse over one of the buttons. Similar behaviour in all other menus. The game works fine. Just a sluggish mouse.

Intel core 2 duo T7100(1.8Ghz)

160 Gb hard drive

2048mb DDR2 SDRAM

Intel graphics media accelerator x3100

V1.01 Battlefront

Vista home premium

Tried changing to one processor - only helped on the initial screen - the game still freezes up as soon as i try to start a battle and the mouse leaves a trail behind and lags.

3. Nvidia Geforce 7800GS OC

6. Have recently been getting CTD occasionally when there is simultaneous cannon fire from tanks, MGS, or some such weapon discharge.

1. Battlefront 1.01 - downloaded version

2. Dual Core Pentium 4 2.8Ghz

3. Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS driver 163.11 beta

4. 2GB RAM

5. Vista Business 32bit

6. Experiencing very low FPS, even when reducing to low resolutions, turning off aliasing, setting priority and affinity in task manager. If looking straight down the FPS is ok, but when looking across the battlefield FPS becomes VERY slow. Also the mouse cursor is very jumpy and hard to use. I haven't measured the FPS, but it's what I'd consider unplayable.

3 2Gig RAM

4 NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT Driver 93.71

5 Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2 (build 2600)

Game itself runs perfectly smoothly, no probs, BUT I've got the sluggish mouse and keyboard. Tried changing priorities in Processes as suggested in another thread, but it makes no difference - and there's no process I can find for my mouse and keyboard (Microsoft Wireless 2000).

In the early, smaller battles, it wasn't too big a problem, but now I'm four battles into the campaign, attacking the airfield, and the mouse and keyboard response is so sluggish its unplayable.

1. Battlefront Version 1.01 (download version)

2. AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ Processor Socket 939

3. BFG 7900 GT OC 256 meg PCIe 94.24 (162.18 was worse)

4. Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2PT 2GB DDR400 XMS3200

5. Windows XP home. Updated

I never get error messages it just stops responding. It seems to lock up more often when I am zoomed in and a bad guy dies, or I hit the mouse button.

Have AMD's dual core optimization running.

Also having Antializing and vert sync turned off made the graphics better. With them on it doesnt want to render the ground graphics(bushes and trenches) more then maybe 20 yards, off it renders the ground 400 yards or so easily.

Interesting point, at least from my point of view, is that I can run SF with both monitors active, whereas in TOW I can only run the game with a single monitor. There's no performance differential between single or dual monitor setup in SF, which is great as I can have the manual open for reference.

Fabulous game performance, but still bugged with the slow mouse/keyboard. Minimal improvement by setting system properties to Background Services rather than Performance, but it remains very slow on big battles.

Problem:

Sometimes Low FPS. Game runs to slow for really playing (but not all the time, sometimes it goes really smooth for some seconds). mouse moving is a pain. Installed MS fix/ switched off core 1/ set all option to off/low, but no change.

System:

CMSF BF download version 1.1

Windows XP Home Edition 5.1.2600 Sevice Pack 2 Bulid 2600

Intel Pentium(D) 2xCPU 2.8 GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 4]with 2GB RAM

Sapphire RADEON X800, driver 8.383.0.0 / date 6/13/07

Additional info:

Just want to report, that when I zoom-in view the mouse lag and slugish view goes away at my system. And it goes really smooth, settings in option set to on/high.

I am getting an OpenGL error when I try to run the game. The game won't even launch, just gives the OpenGL error message and fails to launch.

"Could not intitialize OpenGL graphics. Please update your OpenGL drivers."

I have the latest drivers available for my card and computer.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this problem.
