HP Pavillion a1210n PC not Laptop. AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 1.78GHz 2GB Ram ATI Radeon Express 200 Graphics card Windows XP professional 117GB free disk space Omega 3.8.33 driver laast tried but have also tried 7.1 as suggested earlier. AMD processor patch applied as in AMD64 thread. All settings at absolute minimum. Have set to single processor only. I appreciate your help... There is a beer riding on this... Spartan, Look up ati xpress 200 IGP on google. go to pc stats or firing squad or anandtech and read how the 200 IGP has problems with 3d video. Doom 3 won't run better then 15 fps. Get one, though I'd check your NVidia driver, etc. as well (see below.) ScottD - try disabling the CrossFire ability and re-test. Report back. NVidia guys - investigate this: "I change drivers but that wasen't the problem In the Nvidia Driver Control Panel I Had threaded optimization set on ON That why it was running like crap i put it on auto it run's alot!! better or off ethier way it run's much better so i just set it to Auto..." It tells you more than you ever wanted to know about your system - download here Handihoc - Chad44 discussed the NVidia HT option earlier in this post. I don't see it in my drivers, but I don't run an Intel, either. Spartan/Mike - see if that HP box has a PCI-express slot for a video card upgrade or not. Or just run Sandra if you don't want to physically open the machine and give us your motherboard model. Zimbowe - did you try disabling the EAX in sound options? There seem to be a couple OS/vid card driver/ingredient "x" combonations that cause the choppiness, and they are trying very hard to figure it out. Zimbower88, Rak - what antivirus are you running? Have you tried turning this off? (make sure you unplug/disable your connection before you do so!) There have been several users who had great success from doing this. Rak - how choppy? You are sorta at the lower end of the playable specs (no offense, I ran a Barton 2500+ overclocked to 2.17 GHz for a couple years myself.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And I get the same frame rate (12-22) as the old cards. I will make a better post later tonight with a lot of stuff in it and comparisions between the different settings. Lets nail this sucker. Hpt. Lisse Posted April 20, 2007 Share Posted April 20, 2007 Interesting that Sandra reports "max installable memory - 2GB" when you're trying to run 2.5 Gigs. If you are hardware handy, I'd be removing those two 256MB modules and leave the two 1 GB modules in. Normally, mixing memory module sizes is a no-no. Who helped you assemble this machine? Please post the first two paragraphs from the "Mainboard" analysis in Sandra - then scroll down until you see "Expansion Slots" and copy that, too. Please don't list the entire Mainboard analysis...
