DavidFields
I guess I am not the only person who flips back and forth between Battlefront and Paradox forums. As additional evidence of this, Paradox makes reference to Battlefront without really giving much explanatory information about the company: as though most readers would sort of know. One of the least surprising surprises of the game world would be if these two operations merged. [Hmmm...how do I now make this non-OT?] Imagine if every HOI:Doomsday battle could be resolved at the TOW level?! Or, EU-III is expanded to modern times and now CMSF features a Americans and Syrians scenario with those two ganging up against a fantasy Methodist Kuwait?! (Because someone in the Paradox forums convinces their developers that by the 1990s there should be a Radical Protestant faction, and someone sticks a "MissionariesRevolt=RandomNation" script in the program without thinking it through.) Ok...not very practical. But we all get the possible ideas for the future.

Battlefront.com
Things are a'changing in publishing and those who don't "get it" will be on the losing end. We think we "get it" We have partnerships with quite a few distribution/publishing companies these days, the most recent of which is Paradox. The purpose is to expand our reach to a greater number of customers than we could possibly do from just this website and even retail (which we have been active in since 2000). Since we can do that without compromising our game development philosophy, it's a win-win for everybody. Steve

Ok...not very practical. But we all get the possible ideas for the future. i always wanted such game interlinks like you could play the matches in football manager using fifa. but i think you need more games to strip it down from strategic to operational level first but hopefully we will have more multiple "layered" games like the total war series. modern conflicts would require a multitude of them though since in HOI we have corps and army group engagements with multiple divisions, hell even whole air fleets and tow just depicts company to maybe bataillon sized engagements when including the AI stuff going on on the edge of the maps. so maybe something on the scale of a modern Panzer General could do the trick edit: hi btw, i love these forums [ October 20, 2006, 04:59 PM: Message edited by: pimpo ]
