PseudoSimonds Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 They originally had bagpipes in the game but they had to take them out because they had trouble correctly replicating the animations of the other soldiers covering their ears and screaming in terror. During testing there were also frequent AI problems with the other soldiers in the company turning on their piper and executing him. There are no plans on adding it in as a patch later, and no plans on even revisiting the issue. Ever. All computers that have run the bagpipe version of the code have been destroyed. Almost makes sense now. I once read a manual for a digital watch that sounded almost exactly like this. I still wonder why they shot Ain after the game though, and what exactly flowed from the cubes after the fat cat jumped over the boy paper right into the stirrups.
