Mord
They are under Uncoventional Forces, Specialist, in the scenario editor. I don't know any scenarios that have them off hand but you could set up a test battle with the editor if you wanna see how they work. Mord.

f-bomb
ok! i dont get it. there is something in a game but very limited uses of it. so the only way to use them is to build a battle with them in it? and one in campaign? why is this? why didnt b.f. put these into quick battles? or battles or whatever comes with the game? are they in tcp/ip games, or only if you build the battle? i tried using the editor and what i nighmare that was for me. ok i didnt rtfm, so i guess i need to.
reel-why
Their in a few of the scenarios too. Gawd I cant recall which one...bunch of uncons spread across a large field? not very helpful I guess. One of the "one size up from smallest" battles.

ieatnoobsforbreakfast
I've never received IEDs in quick battles either. Have any of you? Is this a bug or a feature?
SlowMotion
You can control the explosion quite well in real time mode. When some enemy vehicle approaches, selected the IED and Target command. When the vehicle is close enough, select that vehicle (or click the map while pressing CONTROL) to finish the Target command. If the vehicle is close enough there should be immediate explosion.
thelmia
They work great in RT when you can set them off right under a vehicle. Be warned that your opponents may not play with you again... I don't tend to use them because they annoy people so much. Yes, they exist in RL. That doesn't meant that they are very fun in a game.
SgtMuhammed
I have played a couple scenarios and at least 3 missions in the campaign in which I have run into IED's. A couple of times I didn't get hit by them in the game but once the battle was over and I reviewed the map I could see the guy who was supposed to set it off. I have never used them myself as right now I am still playing the U.S. when I can play at all.
Neepster
I have a question about them? Do they go off accidentally sometimes? I have seen them once or twice detonate when none of my guys (US) were around them or even when my guys shoot at the vehicle with them in it. Typically they kill a fair number of the enemy and generate a large hole as well. Anyone else seen this?
SgtMuhammed
That is why I usually put a few rounds into any vehicle I see. I have set off quite a few and later found the trigger men close by.
