Playback in RT

Recommended Posts

I know this has been discussed in the past and maybe I missed something, but what is current stance of BFC on real time replay?

It was said that it was technically very difficult but was on the list of things to do or look at. Any update on this?

Also, there was some discussion on other means of enhancing situational awareness like sound cues, text messages, events that pause the action (customizable), big red arrows appearing, etc. Any plans on doing something like that?

I used to play WeGo only, but prefer RT now. It's just that there can be so much going on, you really need some help to keep track of things. Otherwise RT is only restricted to small battles as far as I am concerned. That would be a shame.

Again, sorry if these questions have been answered before.

I hope you don't mind me adding some RT wishes to this thread:

I'd like a way of temporarily holding execution of new planned commands. Sort of like in WEGO mode you can give commands to many units and they start executing when you press the Red "start" button in the right corner of the UI.

Let's say there was a CommandPause toggle button. If you press it once and give commands to several units, none of them start executing them before you press this CommandPause button again. All units that had existing movement commands before the button was pressed to Pause state would continue doing whatever commands they had. Only new commands give while the button was in Pause state would be affected.

This way it would be easier to coordinate units in different parts of the map.

Another thing that would help RT games a lot would be a way of quickly changing between user settable locations on the map. I've suggested this before and I really think it would help. Especially in big or city maps.

No, not really. Two types of resources : Metal, Energy. Thats those green and orange bars in the upper corners. You do need to have enough of both to build enough units, but in order to do that you have to take over the territory where those resources are. But there are also other ways of getting both. Its complicated. Just try the demo
