The Great Santini
I am playing my first PBEM game. I cannot find folders or files in the SC2 directory to save my moves to. The manual is not helping me. Any information on this would be appreciated. Thank you.
Guest Mike
there's a "multiplayer" subdirectory in SC2, and a PBEM folder inside that - save to that folder. took me a while to find them too!!
The Great Santini
Thank you for your prompt answer. My problem is I can't find the multiplayer subdirectory or PBEM folder. Can someone give me precise directions on how to proceed on this rabbit hunt?
Guest Mike
"Multiplayer" should be in the SC2 folder - it's not hidden - you can find your SC2 folder??
The Great Santini
Using Windows Explorer I open the SC2 folder. There is no file that says "Multiplayer". My friend with whom I am playing also has no file that says "Multiplayer". As a precaution, I reinstalled the game. Still no file saying "Multiplayer". Guest Mike
It's not a file - it is a folder.

Edwin P.
I assume that you are playing with the full version of the software, not the demo.

Timskorn
Create the folder "Multiplayer" (without the quotes) in the root SC2 directory. Go into that folder and then create the following folders: E-mail Network Hotseat Make sure you capitalize the words too. This'll give you all the folders you need for multiplayer. Hubert Cater
Once you save for the first time playing any multiplayer game it should automatically create the applicable folders.
The Great Santini
Thank you for your response Mr. Cater. I am sorry to be so stupid but I still seem to be doing something wrong. I started a multiplayer game. I hit the end turn button. A dialog box appears which states that an e-mail directory has been created after I named the turn. If I go to Outlook Express there is indeed a Multiplayer folder with the turn listed in it. But when I open Windows Explorer there is no Multiplayer folder listed and no place for me to save my opponents response. What am I doing wrong? The Great Santini
After I hit the button to end the turn a dialog box appears which requires that I name the file. There is a large "Save" button I must push to get out of the box. I do that.
Sombra
It seems you don´t have a problem with the game but with windows: It seems the multiplayer folder is there Easiest solutions: - You are looking in the wrong place - In the explorer hit "refresh" hopefully then the folder shows - If not choose details /options and activate view all
Lars
Or open up all the windows on the path through the My Computer icon on the desktop till you get there.
Timskorn
Or search for the filename that you saved, it has to be somewhere, most likely that directory.
