Bog
I started this op as the Germans playing the computer. I'm on battle 3. My question is, am I supposed to use the 2 Pz Grenadier platoons I get to move over the bridge and into Arnhem? I'm not sure what to do.
Tanks a Lot
You don't have to move across the bridge. Since I believe you are defending, you might use the grenadiers to stop the enemy from crossing it.
Bog
I saw some screenshots on the Combat Mission HQ that have since been taken down, but one of them showed a PIAT team from that op ambushing a StuG that was moving across the bridge. So I thought from that the Germans would be attacking across the bridge. Also, the bridge sorta resembles the bridge in the movie A Bridge Too Far, the bridge that the German halftracks attack across.

As the Germans you want to drive them out. ------------------ "Too much of a good thing... is wonderful." -- Mae West
Bog
Gack Louie, I'm gonna have to restart the op, as I've wasted time setting up the Pz Grenadiers in defensive positions.
Peterk
It's a German destroy mission guys. You just have to try and get as many of the Brits as possible. The bridge doesn't have too much to do with it. p.
Spanish Bombs
I played this op as the British, and found it relatively entertaining. The best part was when I had a Brit Piat team on one side of the bridge, and a Paratroop team on the other side, and they both simultaneously took friendly casualties from each other when a HT crossed between them. Walter
Bog, The reason the bridge sort of looks like the bridge in 'A Bridge too Far' is that it's supposed to be the same bridge,it's what the movie and scenario are about Cheers, Walter R. Brethon
Or you could say that the movie is about Operation Market Garden, as is the operation. ------------------ The worst part of any conflict is peacekeeping, it is the time when only one side may fire.
