  1. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. LtheT
  2. Greetings, Been out of touch for a few years. Seems that the tried and true scenario sites are MIA. Where can I find some fresh scenarios for CMBB? Thanks. LtheT
  3. I have re upped with CMBB after several years of not gaming. Dismayed to find a lot of the scenario links are MIA. Are there any good ones left? Need some directions. Thanks LtheT
  4. Havent been on the forum for ages. Need some help with finding grid lines bmps for CMBB. Ones I tried came up with weird grass tiles. Looked like something out of a comic book. Dont have CMMOS or whatever downloaded. Just want to go for the gridlines terrain. Thank you Toad in the grass.
  5. I would like to go back to the default. Cant recall how to do it. Am also searching the forum. Thanks. Splashing around... Toad
  6. There are several files as described above not responding. Approx 340 mb average. "media player has encountered an unkown error" statement comes up instead of music or sound for these files. As above. Other files.. no problem. Dont know Md5 checksum If we just decided the files are corrupted what is the next step? Selectivley Deaf Toad
  7. The message I get : Windows Media Player has encountered an unknown problem. I checked more files and found that several give me this message. Actually all I seem to hear are explosions, crashes.. buildings falling down, machineguns, and gunfire plus missed shot thuds, hatches closing. One thing I also do not hear is the opening music when the Battlefront.com splash screen comes up.. Night Bald Mountain as I recall. I do get the explosion on Exit. I am thinking Corrupt files now. BUT I already reinstalled the game once before contacting the forum. When I did reinstall it did not effect my upgrades. I also moved my only add ons.. out of the BMP file they were in. Then moved them back: Tracer color changes, a grass texture and some grid lines. Now what to do... gotta go... storm with lightning is arriving here. LT
  8. This is what I tried: Went into Wav file.. discovered several files that will not play. Some of these are: 000200 to 000211 series 000300 to 000312 series There may be others as well. I find no sound problems in AK My BB version is 1.03 is there a later one? I had an upgrade awhile back. New configuration: Pentium® 4 CPU 2.80 GHz 512MB Ram Windows XP
  9. Other sounds, shooting and shell hits, mg fire and human sounds are ok. Started playing the game after many months off. What gives? Silent Running Toad
  10. It must have been the sand. Upon winning the battle in my previous post and checking over the battlefield I discovered that the once identified by the AI as knocked out "Matildas" (2) were actually Valentines. To the victor belongs 20/20 vision. Sand in my eyes... Toad
  11. I just killed a Matilda with a PzIII 50L42 when the PZ finally saw the whole tank and started getting side hits. Range was 180 or so. Three things helped: 1.The Matilda was distracted and not returning fire. 2. There was a blinding sand storm with visibility max at about 180. 3. There were 2 to 3 PZIIIs that were ranging in, and at least 2 of them fired. Sandy Toad
  12. No sound mods downloaded. AK vehicle sound works fine. If I reinstalled BB, would I lose mods I have downloaded.. like tracer colors and menu? I suppose I could extricate them to the desktop or something and then reinstate them. Nontechnical Toad
  13. All sounds off... then on again... still no vehicle sounds. Same with ambient on/off Just vehicle sounds effected. Gun shots, birds, voices, wind, hatches, all can be heard except vehicle movement. Stealthy Toad
  14. 1. Have run BB several times.. still no vehicle sound. Voices are ok so is ambient. 2. Recently installed Ak but I believe this happened before that installation.. but maybe not. 3. Will try the ambient off routine as you describe. Toad
  15. But I can still hear THE BIRDS !! Vehicle sounds just stopped. Nothing else ... hmm maybe voices have stopped too. But not sounds of shooting or hatches. Huh? What was that? .... Toad

  18. MadMatt I'll bet you forgot frogs and toads again... I don't see anyone mentioning it. Would be especially great during night scenarios. Another .... Toad .... probably not heard from. Drat.
  19. Maybe it has to do with the desert mirage effect. You know, being able to see things beyond the horizon due to the bending of light rays in the heat. (or something like that) On a clear day........ Toad

  22. Hans, Thank you for your work. Small Battles are particularly friendly for those of us who like to use Franko's Rules. Did you base any of your scenarios on the Skirmish Campaign series for miniatures wargaming? Curious Toad
