Sgt Colon
I know the US of A is the centre of the universe and every place has its own EST   but the centre of the world is GMT and CMBO is international, lets get with it!!! WWB
Uh, so long as the server resides in Maine, it will likely be kept on local time, Eastern Standard Time. Grenwich ceased being the center of the world after 1918 or so anyways <G>. WWB

It's "UTC" and has been for years. GMT is from the days of the British Empire - 'Greenwich Mean Time'. And it's a silly request anyway.
Hoopenfaust2
Its only because me and Sarge have a tournament PBEM underway. He's in Australia and I'm in Canada and the time difference is crazy. We're smart enough to figure it out. Hey Sarge you figure on TCP/IP tonite?

However, on a more serious note, when I saw the title of the thread, I thought someone else had noticed that FO's seem to work on a different time scheme to the rest of the world, in the game. Ever notice that a "minute" for an FO can last a great deal longer than a single turn?
Redwolf
As far as I am concerned, I would be happy if somebody set the clock on the bulletin board machine, or even better activate the NTP that is part of every Linux distribution (there's plenty of server on the net to automatically synchronize with). Hensworth
I took this post as a stand against the creeping evil of American cultural imperialism which besets our Old Continent, the true berth of western civilization. As such I wanted to voice my support for it. And now if you'll excuse me, I've got 542 taped Jerry Springer shows to get back to.

It brings back all the warm feelings I got watching "Gilligan's Island" and "Car 54 Where Are You?" (Sniffs back a tear)
