Phonetic English to Russian translations

Thanks to a previous post we now have english translations of most of the Russian phrases. I thought it would make sense to attempt a phonetic English translation of some of them. What I thought would be a 5 minute exercise turned out to be a few hours of tyring to the “stresses” right. I decided to use the tilde (~) to break up longish words so we know where those stresses are. The other difficulties I had were sounds with no english equivalent and hidden but audable tonal inflections. Please keep in mind that I don't have a clue of the Russian language, so I have no idea of where one word ends and another begins but this is what they sound like to me.

"Stavay" (get up) was one of the few words that I could make sense of with my very rusty Russian. I'm not sure what you heard in 82201 - maybe I'll have to give it a listen myself.

I'm pretty sure that "Slushayesh" should be "Listen!" not "Yes, Sir!" - though it's possible that I misheard it and it's another form of the word which might well mean something like "we hear you."

The only other word I can remember that I recognized was "vuykhodet," which, sadly, I can't recall the meaning of (though I know I should). Interestingly, I didn't see anything that looked at all like that in your list.

Oh, by the way, I tried searching but couldn't find this source post you mentioned. Do you happen to have a URL? I'd like to take a look.

Thanks!

These are all the translations that were posted here a few days ago. They have since, as the originl author surmised, got buried in the depths of posts. If anyone cares to write them in the "correct" Russian I'm sure it will be appreciated.

00080301 (think I got that right) ("Load tungsten!") probably should be reworked to read "Load arrowhead shot!" That is what the Soviets called their version of what the British called APCR, the Americans HVAP and the Germans PzGr 40. Naturally, this suggestion applies to all uses of the word tungsten in the Soviet sound files.

John Kettler

That's my fault - Anton (Russian friend that did the translation) didn't know the english word for this and it was a bit of a guess. It is possible that the cannister references are incorrect though they seemed appropriate.
