'Merkun kids don't just get confused between countries, they get confused between continents. Different level of mongoloidalosity entirely.

To be fair, I have been pretty appalled at the dim, gormless thickosity of the ranks of middle-class yobbos at the schools I work at. I wonder where society is going when a pupil with a spell checker still fails to successfully print out a piece of work with the word 'though' dun proper in it.

Hey it's in the US and begins with an 'I', I've told you before that I get mixed up with the bits in the middle of the US. When I went to school we had to make do with old Geography books, so I'm pretty good on the thirteen colonies :D .

So did those old geography books still show Canada, Australia, South Africa, and India as colonies, too? Was central Africa still "unexplored"? What about your history books? Was Napoleon too recent to be mentioned? Did your science books mention gravity, or that the earth orbits the sun? :D:D:D

The intern here at my office just showed me her diploma from Kent State University.

There's a typo on it.

Are you sure it wasn't a bullet hole?</font>

The history books were quite modern - some even mentioned the Franco-Prussian War. Seriously the set book for 'A' level (age 17-18) English history, was G.R.R. Elton's Tudor England, first published in 1903 IIRC.
