I have a couple photos, but want something more detailed. http://www.kwanah.com/txmilmus/36division/archives/sanpiet/sanpietr.htm for information on he battle, going to try a town fight on a hill. Moraine Sedai
Well, here's a link to where someone else has made some sort of scenario of the area. Don't know if it will help, though... Maybe And, if you so desire and no one else or further searching on my part yields no acceptable results, you can try a trial of this site and see what you can find... Free Trial And one other thing from Google that *may* be of use... Keyhole Unfortunately, my Google-fu is weak since I've been sick. I'll keep my eyes opened in case something presents itself. Meantime, I'm sure these knowledgable gentlemen will be along to be of more assistance shortly.
Spanish Bombs
Rune - have you seen the John Huston documentary? I have in on VHS if you'd like, email me off line. It has been a while since I watched it, and its not like there is topographical map, but I can't imagine it not being useful.
rune
I know of the movie and how it was almost banned by the Army. It is what itnerested me in making the battle. So, anyone have a good WWII era map of the village? I know the forces, just need a good map. Rune
hoolaman
Try this: Battle for San Pietro San Pietro Infine Thats all I could find online Actually I lie, bacuse I found these modern street maps. Modern Street Maps! Via Michelin is the best. However I think the city was rebuilt away from the location of the old city which was totally destroyed. Hans
Looks to be a series of interesting battles and operations. I had material for the Italian attack (I was going to use French for the Allied Italians) on Mont Lugo
rune
Hans, We can make a pack of scenarios, but going to be hard to co-ordinate the maps. let meknow if interested, I don't want to use the modern maps cause the picture I have seen have the village onn the hillside itself, Let me know. Michael Dorosh
On a related note, FWIW, I have a contour map of Monte la Difensa - colouring is a bit off in places but gives a basic idea; it is scanned from the Burhans book on the FSSF and cleaned up a bit, if anyone is interested in either the FSSF or the British 56th Division actions on this range.
rune
Hans, I dug out my United States Army in WWII, and got great detail ont he battles there. I am thinking of making a scenario ont he second assault, and the town itself indeed was on the hillside, only reachable by two paths. Let me know if you are itnerested and will see if I can somehow forward what I have. Yes, the new town is not quite int he same place, but parts are. Hans
Hi Rune, hmmmm well I'm busy but a new scenario is impossible to resist. I would like to do that Italian assault on Monte Lugo - shall we coordinate? Send me an email young man!
rune
My map stops before it reaches Monte Lugo. Will send you an email with the scenario so far. Forces are not setup, and map will be adjusted a little, but generally the map is done. Rune

Sillavengo
I've just posted a great link to italian topographic maps. Go to CM Scenario Talk - "Topographic maps of Italy. a website" is the topic. It seems I cannot paste anything in this reply form, sorry! max
Hans
Hi Rune Thanks for sending that to me. I think its big enough as it is so when I can get to Monte Lugo I'll try it separatedly - I think a dual came would come out in the 10,000+ point range easily.
rune
Hans, That is fine, but would you liek to release them as a pack? Rune
Hans
It depends on how long you are willing to wait! I've just started up the semester here and unlike the past four years I actually have to work. It might be 6 weeks to three months until I can get to it, sorry about that. The real world has put a real crimp in my scenario production.
