Macphail
this is the new tiger tank i got for christmas. it is quite fast, and the turret turns, and it fires BB's. its 1/16 scale, so quite large. horrid paint job on the commander though. still, im pretty impressed, and my cat is terrified.
Bogdan
Impressive Wouldn't it be possible to remove the decals and repaint the beast ? PS : What's a "BB" ?
Elmar Bijlsma
BB=airgun pellet (5.5mm?) The commander IS horrid though I don't think too much of the grey camo either. You should consider repainting it if you are even remotely good at modelling. Such a cool toy deserves a pretty coat. You say it turns? That's always been a hot debating point here. Does it turn too slow?

Richie
I've been thinking about buying the 1/16th Tamiya RC Tiger... Anyone out there familiar with the beast? Richie

Macphail
ya, i do want to repaint it. it would look not to bad, but i live in beijing, and finding paint, let alone an airbrush would be difficult and prohibitive. that tamiya one looks very fine. in fact it looks just like mine with a better paint job. identical. different hat on the commander, but the same pose.

Splinty
Originally posted by Richie: I've been thinking about buying the 1/16th Tamiya RC Tiger... Anyone out there familiar with the beast? Richie I've built the non-motorized version, and I'm here to tell you it's a hell of a kit. It has working suspension, great detail for a kit that's made for RC and it's HUGE! If you get the RC version I would recommend getting an aluminum barrel because the plastic one looks a little fragile to me.

FerretHead
Nice tiger. For those who are really keen (and have way too much money) try this site: www.mark-1-tank.co.uk As for me, I just have to make do with my 1/72nd scale RC Tiger (kept at work so my kids don't get their hands on it - they just wouldn't appreciate it on as many levels as I do).
Richie
So Splinty, how damn big is a 1/16th Tiger anyway? Thanks Gibsonm & Ypsilon! Nice links. The standard kit is about $600. Any idea how much the R/C kit is worth (at a guess)? Richie
