  1. Nice tiger. For those who are really keen (and have way too much money) try this site: www.mark-1-tank.co.uk As for me, I just have to make do with my 1/72nd scale RC Tiger (kept at work so my kids don't get their hands on it - they just wouldn't appreciate it on as many levels as I do).
  2. In a current game I am playing (5,000 points Soviet Assault) my illustrious Sturmoviks didn't show until turn 25 (out of 50). I had held back my armour until turn 20, to reduce any friendly fire oopsies. Once the flying artillery did show, they focussed on a couple of Jagdpanthers my opponent had parked on a hill. Haven't actually damaged them, but kept them buttoned up while my infantry sneaks forwards. Should be thankful they didn't attack my tanks. Also in the same game, my opponent bought a Sturmtiger in case I bought heaps of infantry (which I did). Cost him over 1,000 points. He tells me it's green crew (couldn't afford anything else, and you don't have to be that accurate with the old Sturm) managed to bog it in a crater on turn 3, and immobilize it on turh 5. On a reverse slope. Behind a forest. Now if only his £$%"$ King Tiger could manage the same!
  3. Nice photos. I like the way you kept going back to the King Tiger! Is that Tiger I the one that has been restored to running condition? A while back I went to the armoured museum in Saumur France. They have some excellent stuff there - including a King Tiger and a Panther in running condition. Had a day there with a mate - took 400 photos between us. As soon as I would out how to get them onto the net, I'll post a link.
  4. I once took out a Jagdpanther with a Molotov from a Russian squad. The 'panther had just crested a hill and I assaulted with two rifle squads from both forward flanks. My opponent was pretty p*d off. Maybe a fluke, but I thought it was pretty funny.
  5. I remember a news article a few months ago where a Merkava (not Mark 4) was destroyed by a large command detonated mine planted in a road. Wouldn't think the Mark IV would be a whole lot better... BTW saw a Merkava I at the armoured museum in Saumur last week - impressive piece of kit. They also had an operational Panther A and King Tiger. Mmmmmmm, King Tiger......
  6. Sounds good. Would also like to be able to specify number of rounds to be fired in a mission, rather than just blazing away for a turn at a time. My first post - woo hoo!
