Fossiili
I changed my old 17 inch CRT to new 19 inch ViwSonic VA902 LCD. And now Combat Mission games have a terrible look what ever I try  Have others had the same experience? What can I do? Does it help if I install the game again?
K.A. Miles
I just recently got a larger 17" monitor, and the games look great! I knew you'd want to know that. Sorry, can't imagine why your's isn't working.
Vergeltungswaffe
This may not have anything to do with it, but make sure you are playing CM in your native desktop resolution. That can be a problem with LCD's.
Abbott
I would suggest posting this to the General Forum, a Computer Grog (s) will be along shortly (in several languages) to assist you with your problem. Good luck, Nick
Navy
If you were using a 17" CRT, you CM preferences would be set to something like 1024x768 With your 19" LCD, you should be able to set it a bit higher ( 1280x1024 ) Go to the CM install directory, there is a "Run" sub directory : delete the file called "preferences" Then restart CM : system will probe for the new resolution and will prompted you to validate it

Be sure to set CM to the resolution of your desktop. Ands can I take this opportunity to say how damn sweet it looks in 1600*1200 on a new Formac display. JasonC
Also be sure you update all your drivers, for the monitor and your video card, both. Frequently, the default right after a new install is some crappy resolution they know will work using some off the shelf, compliant with everything driver. You have to go around to the monitor and video card sites and get the latest drivers - usually it can detect what you have and upgrade itself.
Fossiili
Vielen Dank für Velgeltungswaffe und andere! Many thanks for all! I found "preferencies" from the directories of BO, BB and AK and deleted those. If you do not here me anymore, I am happy playing the games again.
