My new 19" LCD and CM ...

Recommended Posts

If you were using a 17" CRT, you CM preferences would be set to something like 1024x768

With your 19" LCD, you should be able to set it a bit higher ( 1280x1024 )

Go to the CM install directory, there is a "Run" sub directory :

delete the file called "preferences"

Then restart CM :

system will probe for the new resolution and will prompted you to validate it

That is probably your fix right there.

Yep. Be sure to set CM to the resolution of your desktop.

Ands can I take this opportunity to say how damn sweet it looks in 1600*1200 on a new Formac display.

Also be sure you update all your drivers, for the monitor and your video card, both. Frequently, the default right after a new install is some crappy resolution they know will work using some off the shelf, compliant with everything driver. You have to go around to the monitor and video card sites and get the latest drivers - usually it can detect what you have and upgrade itself.
