Debate on the new name for the T-26

Recommended Posts

As I've gain experience with CMBB I have found that "T-26" is not an apt name for that marvy vehicle. So far the new names suggested are:

Tracked target

Dead meat (variant of easy meat)

S**t tank

Auto kill

Grave for three Russians

Mobile coffin

Grenade bucket

Flamer

Shoot me please

Unarmoured cockroach

Italian ubertank

1 kill

Russian mechanized fire magnet

Bonobos first technology

A committee's finest

Tin clad tractor

'SPCV' Soviet population control vehicle

Tanker crew's nightmare

ATRs favorite

Moving samovar

Not worth a molotov

Others?

Conscript Crusher

And lets not forget it's desease ridden little brother the BT-5 and BT-7. At least the T-26 has the "Erk" model with the good front armor. Remember, the "BT" stands for:

Bag (of) Tin

Broken Toy

Burning Target

Bastage Trinket

Are you all kidding ? The T-26 RULEZ !

In a PBEM QB I'm currently playing, a lone, regular T-26 sitting in a village shot one PSW222 AC after withstanding a hull penetration from the AC'popgun, then it toasted a 251/1 HT, then another AC that tried to get it by surprise scooting out of a hill..

It's now exchanging shots with a PzJag I, loooks like I get it but still unsure (death clock ...).

I HATE T26s !!!!!!    !!!

Rookies!

Now, I got me a Ruskie T-26a thing-a-ma-bob and upon attempting to make it hunt a 20mm armored car it hopped out in the open, and realized its precarious position and retreated. Couple turns later I snucked him through some trees to a hull down position and he nailed the target without flinching. Can't use em like Gary Cooper in High Noon, ya gotta have some finesse.

I also had a giggle at von luckes "My Other Tank is a KV-1". V.good!

Tin-Clad tractor : I'd keep this one for the SiG-33, I think it destriys itself if it shoots less than 50m away !!

And how would you call the great Uber PzJgr I, with its Czech gun and undoubtly Hawaiian armor ?(and not counting Hans & Fritz Gay Crew :D:D ) !

Lets all give it a rest now. The Russian tanks that we love to malign were hot in their day (which well preceeded 6/22/41) and were sadly out of date by the time the Germans caught them in their sights. Innumerable good men lost their lives in them trying to defend their native soil. A little respect is in order.

Granted, the Germans at the time had precious little respect for these tanks, either. They called the BT series "mickey mouse tanks" because the two open turret hatches looked like mouse ears when the tanks were sitting there forlornly abandoned after being wasted.
