On my Mac I can see he modified and changed the colour of 1,641 .bmp image files, and the total uncompressed size is 104.6 MEGS! I thought the original Zipped size was a total of about 70 megs? but I could be wrong. Share the folder and give out the password to whomever you wish to download it. Sounds like alot of work, but I bet the gang would be very appreciative. Sounds like you are our only hope. I have 50 megs of his old zipped mod files on my Mac they include: 7 items Buildings-V1.zip 6.3 megs Misc-Textures-V1.zip 2.2 megs Soldiers-V1.zip 2.1 megs Special-FX-V1.zip 732 k Terrain-V1.zip 15.1 megs TREES-V1.zip 1.6 megs Vechiles-V1.zip 23.2 megs But I may be missing one or two archives... not sure. If he replies before COB tomorrow, I maybe be able to "sneak" them up over the weekend on some else's FTP server and pull them off Late sunday night before Monday morning? aka_tom_w Posted October 19, 2000 Share Posted October 19, 2000 Well here goes nothing.... if you are keen and you want to try download 50 megs of mods try this use fetch or some ftp program use this IP: 142.55.231.199 user name: cm password: cmbo go to the folder called gunslinger's and help your self if it does not work..... sorry I'll look at it again tomorrow (should be plenty of bandwidth for you over night) I will only leave it up over night and turn it off in the morning if I don't get in trouble I will try to make it work and leave it up over the weekend ok? I'm still not sure I should post someone else's work, for distribution so if I get in trouble I'll turn it off. Gunslinger, I hope you don't mind? Sports Car GT, Falcon 4, USAF, CM and so on and so forth. I think he may have the CFS2 Bug now... His mods are very nice so I guess it is our loss. My main concern now is that new terrain mods will be done by others and not be compatible w Gunslinger's because of the saturation differences. His instructions were to unload all of them you want into the bmp dir, but make sure you do the misc-textures.zip file 1) No matter what, and 2) LAST. I guess there are some corrections in it. I'm uploading it right now on 128k upload dsl, so give me an hour and a half or so to get all 53 megs of zip files up. And one last thing. This server has gotten incredibly flakey in the last few months... It has been having problems not inheriting the right permissions (using the uploaders perms rather than the guest rx perms on the root) and I'm leaving town in a few minuites. If it doesn't work right, I won't be able to look at it until Tuesday. Sorry, best I can do for right now, but at least you can have the joys of drab CM (I did not like them and reverted back to the colorful mods we all know and love). The server owner is supposed to repush rights when the uplaod is complete to make sure that guest rx is on (damn Win2K ftp service!)
