aka_tom_w Posted September 7, 2000 Share Posted September 7, 2000 Maybe I'm wrong But there is a growing trend to using all these kinds of animated smilies. cool ok but doesn't all this extra jiggling chew up band with and realy tie up the main server cpu? I have noticed the server is getting alot slower lately and without sound like a wet blanket or a cold shower, I would like to propose a friendly sort of voluntary moritarium on all forms of animated gifs and things that move so the server cpu is not burdened so much. I know I may be way OFF base here, I'm not the sys admin or the Server Administrator and heaven knows people love to flame here so here's another opportunity for all of you to jump on me and tell me where to go. don't worry I don't mind it was only a suggestion now back to CM..... The pictures for those smilies are based on another server and your pc is the one assembling the animations, correct me if I'm wrong.
