BeondTheGrave
I've got something cooking. Probably will be up tomorrow, I just have to write a scenario briefing.
NeoOhm
Look at this, thats some close quarters NLAW! RIP on both sides! This playlist has material for new small scenarios to medium. Horrible as it is. Hoping for a quick end to this madness Edited March 12, 2022 by NeoOhm Added link
Combatintman
To be honest the Kherson engagement isn't really going to turn into much of a scenario is it? The only reason I'd play it is out of vague curiosity to see if the game can replicate the actual results, which it probably won't because either side will likely get a good burst of fire on a squad and pretty much wipe it out putting one or other of the sides in surrender territory. Additionally it really only works as Russian vs Ukrainian AI because if the Ukrainian is a human player then the first thing they'll do on set up is dismount their troops from the BRDMs. If the Russian player has their troops fixed in the actual starting locations then the player hasn't really got any decisions to make so it is a pretty dull prospect for the Russian player too in terms of decision-making and tactical problem solving. What it would be good for is for a talented movie maker to make a map of the place and put the units down and play it hotseat to make a CM vs Real life footage video.
BeondTheGrave
28 minutes ago, Combatintman said: To be honest the Kherson engagement isn't really going to turn into much of a scenario is it? It does not. Maybe five min of action? You can play it UKR vs. AI as well so long as youre willing to either A) try to move like the UA commander in the vid, or B ) okay with trying to 'rethink' the situation. Nevertheless #s tilt pretty harshly away from the UA so its more about risk mitigation than some kind of 'victory' IMO. But its an interesting situation, and you can make (hopefully) an interesting small scale engagement by modifying the footage we see here. MOS:96B2P
In case you didn't see the below post from the Ukrainian topic. A scenario in the same area was already made.
