scooleen
AND if you want to resolve the IP address of someone else's domain, go into dos, and type tracert and then the name of the web site. For example: tracert www.battlefront.com The result for me was 216.15.156.162 TCP/IP is fun

A Arabian
I have an associated question: I'm behind a DSL router that appears to give me an internal network IP addy (10.0.0.somethingorother) according to winipcfg. Needless to say, not what my opponent wants (this is also the number that CM spits up on teh screen). Going to the web sites that tell you your IP address, I get a more reasonable number that I'm pretty sure is the right one, but my opponent still can't connect. Anyone have any ideas aobut how to get around this?
nipa
http://grc.com/ Is worth a try, just go to the Shields Up! section and ask it to probe your ports. It's the only place that tells my IP reliably and it's a useful test anyway.
