Kinophile
Wow. The ROTC vid is like scenes from The Leopard.
Jammersix
The question I had is why do officers leave the women to dance with each other?

Just don't provide them Ammo, or keep their target arc short, so they don't let one fly and give away their position. P.S. I keep forgetting to comment on this: just like a FO, thinks the good part about a Javelin is the optics. Although I agree, if you're going to give an FO a Javelin, for god's sake, don't give him any ammo! P.P.S. The only FO I knew in real life could do sines, cosines and tangents in his head. That was 1976, and I've never met anyone else since who could do that. They're like medics: worth the trouble of helping them keep up. TheForwardObserver
@Jammersix You'll be happy to know that to this very day no FO or FISTER in an infantry formation is treated fairly, till he's won over his infantry compatriots. I can assure you this because as an enlisted man myself I've had to engage in this process dozens of times over the course of many years.
Kinophile
Is that called FISTing?
TheForwardObserver
@kinophile Certainly is. All US Army fire support enlisted personnel, MOS13F , whether assigned as an FO party, FIST, COLT, FSE etc, are called FISTERS, and responsible for FISTING. Makes talking about this stuff *impossible* to do on facebook without confusing normal people or inviting accusations of indecency or perversion.
Codename Duchess
Those are high school students, not servicemembers. They have no obligation to join the military. Most won't, and even fewer will become officers. So don't let that represent any view you have of the US Military or my beloved Navy.
