Someone forgot the lock pin! (bug or ....?)

Recommended Posts

First question did they abandon the gun?

If not then yeah it looks off.  More questions:

What happened next?  Did the gun ever "catch up"?  After the crew got to their destination and disembarked did the gun catch up then?  Not that any of that make this not a defect I'm just wondering how bad it is.

Do you have saves?

Second turn of the game, the crew is perfectly fine. The jeep hasn´t arrived at the destination yet, so I don´t know if the gun will catch up. I´m rather reluctant to let the crew disembark and try to set up if they will then have to reembark and drive back to the gun afterwards. But I'll try for test reasons (luckily this isn´t a H2H game).

I have a save if you want one.

Edit:

Just tried a few test turns: I ordered the crew to disembark the jeep and then move one action square away ("deploy" order not available). After they disembarked they stayed put. So did the AT gun - where they left it. I then again (next turn) ordered them to move to the adjacent action square (still no "deploy" order available).  They then seemed to realize that they had forgotten something, and they began trudging back towards the gun.

@ Ian: sent you a PM with the saves

did they at least have a sheepish look on their faces?

Not more than british soldiers normally have ;)

But RockinHarry is working on various soldier animations at the moment. I'll check if he can tilt their heads forward a bit - for a sort of looking-at-their-shoes stance :D

I think this is the known ATG bug. There are a number of posts on it. It has been reported to BF and is long standing. Seems difficult to squash.

It does not seem familiar to me.  There have been several one member of the crew wonders off bugs.  There is a current reinforcements appear with out their guns bug but I have never seen or read about a gun getting left behind.  At any rate BFC will figure it out.

It is reported.

Thanks. For what it´s worth: I sent the crew back to the gun  - on foot. It took a loooong time, as they were walking at pushing-gun speed. Once they´d returned to the gun everything seemed to work normally again. I sent them along at pushing-gun speed once again. This time with the gun.
