mjkerner
Thanks delliejonut, I don't play QBs much, but when I do, I always forget what points I'll get for the different types of engagements.
Lacroix
are there any differences between probe and assault besides points? is it possible that attacker can take less land and still manage victory in probe?
delliejonut
I think victory points have different weights in different types of battles. In probes, 25% of your VP are from holding objectives, 75% from enemy casualties. Attack is 50/50. Assault is 75% from objectives, 25% from enemy casualties. I got this information anecdotally so I could be completely wrong.
Lacroix
anyone else can comment on difference between probe assault and attack? (Difference in points mainly, Objective points) Edited April 17, 2015 by Lacroix
womble
The maps are also different. "Probe" maps have the VLs further forward in the defender's setup zone. "Assault" maps have VLs further from the initial line of contact.

MOS:96B2P
Thanks delliejonut. This is a handy little chart to have. Your chart is good for all three WWII titles. The Quick Battle purchase points are much higher in CMBS. (Must be inflation ) And of course CMSF does not have a purchase screen for Quick Battles. I don't own CM Afghanistan so I could not check and compare that game. Now if CM Battle of the Bulge has the same purchase points ............. Thanks again.
