H1nd
Found this beauty today: http://fr-fr.topographic-map.com/places/Ukraine-551299/ Very handy interactive topographic map to get those pesky cryptic contour lines right! This one is also quite nice: http://www.maps-for-free.com/ And for those wondering what the weather could be like in Ukraine (I know I did today!): https://weatherspark.com/averages/33809/12/Kiev-Kiev-City-Ukraine looks like there's some real nice chances for daring armored counter attacks during thunderstorms in June and July! Cheers! -H1nd

Heirloom_Tomato
Is there a chance the thunderstorm rolls in mid battle?
LUCASWILLEN05
Is there a chance the thunderstorm rolls in mid battle? Would be nice. Thunderstorms in that part of the world can be heavy and, due to the nature of the soil, can turn the ground to mush very quickly. The Germans had big problems with this at Kursk.
dan/california
The map site is excellent, but I have a question. Is there any way to turn the colors off? They are a little overwhelming when you are trying to look at contours. I am probably missing something obvious but....
H1nd
The map site is excellent, but I have a question. Is there any way to turn the colors off? They are a little overwhelming when you are trying to look at contours. I am probably missing something obvious but.... It is mainly usefull for giving a accurate elevation of any given point but I also use it to make overlays to google earth where I can then adjust the transparency of the colours. It's a shame tho that the site in it self has no such option as far as I can tell.
dan/california
It takes a fair bit of fiddling but you can get what looks like exactly the same topo through google maps itself, without colors. Its the "cycle map" in the extra layers you can install directly from google. There are also a lot of geolocated pictures. I am surprised at the density of the vegetation. It looks like an dense vehicle proof tangle in the lower, better watered spots.
